Hungarian native Gabor Szamosi has doubled up, all in on the turn with a made straight and a flush draw against an opponent's two pair. The two pair failed to fill up, and the unhappy opponent is down to 2,000.
In a blind-on-blind battle, the chips went in preflop only for Joseph Rutkai's to make a four-flush against his opponent's rather better . Not content with the outdraw, Rutkai went for the rubdown too -- he shouted something that sounded rather like, "Hasta la vista, baby," before getting out his car keys and offering them to his hapless and now busted opponent, saying, "Here, take the keys to my Hummer, go see Budapest." Extraordinary.
Katja Thater is down to less than 4,000. By the turn of a board, she had 2,625 of her stack across the line, but laid it down when her opponent raised all in to cover her.
Javier 'Anguila' Etayo doubled up earlier and pushed his stack over 20,000. The Spaniard slipped a bit since then and is currently sitting on 16,200. He told me about a big laydown where he folded queens preflop to a big reraise. It ended up being the right move since his opponent held pocket aces.
Ludovic Lacay has donated a little of his stack to the gentleman on his left, Andrea Sighinolfi. Four or five players made it to the flop, but it checked around to Lacay on the button, who bet 600. Only Sighinolfi in the small blind called.
Sighinolfi checked the turn and Lacay had another stab at it, this time for 1,600, and again Sighinolfi called -- incidentally, while very incongruously sucking on a yellow lollipop. Both players checked the river and Lacay mucked when Sighinolfi flipped and removed his lollipop for a moment in order to smile as he raked in the pot.
