Gino Alacqua Doubles Through Simeon Tsonev

Queens no good for Simeon
Queens no good for Simeon
Simeon Tsonev's stack took a big hit. He was all in preflop with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades} against Gino Alacqua's {A-Spades} {3-Spades}. The flop was {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} and Gino took the lead. The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Tsonev picked up a couple of more outs with a gutshot. The river was the {9-Spades}. Gino's hand held up and he doubled through the young Bulgarian.

Zoltan Wins One from Micha Hoedemaker

I caught the action on the river. The board read {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {2-Spades} {3-Spades}. There was around 75,000 or so in the pot. Micha Hoedemaker checked. Zoltan Toth bet 60,000. Hoedemaker unleashed an intense stare but could not get a read on the Hungarian. Hoedemaker folded and Zoltan won the pot.

A Lovely River for Alacqua

Beardy Italian Gino Alacqua bet out 25,000 on a {7-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {4-Spades} board, and Martin Jacobson minimum-raised to 50,000. Alacqua looked as though he was considering a reraise, but flat-called instead and they saw a {3-Hearts} turn, which Alacqua checked. Jacobson announced all in, and Alacqua called without a moment's hesitation -- his {A-Clubs} {5-Clubs} had made a straight, and Jacobson could only boast {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}.

After a short raising war, Micha Hoedemaker found himself all in for around 110,000 and called by Oleg Korotkov. With fellow countryman Noah Boeken anxiously railing his friend, they flipped their cards and waited for the board to be dealt.

Hoedemaker: {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}
Korotkov: {A-Spades} {8-Spades}

Board: {8-Clubs} {3-Spades} {3-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}

Zoltan Toth Closing in on 500K

Zoltan Toth took more chips off his nemesis Micha Hoedemaker. Toth rivered a Broadway straight and tried to trap the young Dutch player. Zoltan checked and Hoedemaker checked behind. Zoltan showed {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} and won the pot. Hoedemaker mucked his hand in disgust. He slipped to 150,000 while Zoltan is sitting on a stack worth 490,000.

Micha Hoedemaker Eliminated in 19th Place (€10,640)

Micha Hoedemaker is a goner after getting his chips in either before the flop or on it with {K-Hearts} {7-Hearts} and finding himself up against Marino Serenelli's {A-Spades} {Q-Spades}.

Board: {7-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}

Serenelli rather un-serenely shouted something that sounded like, "Il torre vivo!" (this reporter's grasp of Italian = poor), and Hoedemaker and his friend Noah Boeken, both sucking on what appeared to be promotional lollipops from the Holland Casino in Amsterdam, made their exit.
