Short-stacked for most of the tournament, Alex Kravchenko moved all in for about 8,500 from the button behind the equally short-stacked Richard Gryko's open-shove from the cutoff. Benny Falkenstrom made the call from the big blind. Falkenstrom's {A-Spades}

ended up the winner when the board ran out {Q-Spades}

and both Gryko and Kravchenko hit the rail.

No Luck for Alacqua

Actually, he did have a spot of luck, doubling through Antony Lellouche with {K-Spades}

against Lellouche's {A-Diamonds}

on a

board, putting him up to 21,000.

However, a few hands later, his luck ran out when he called Hans Eskilsson's all in on a {8-Diamonds}

flop. Alacqua was holding {K-Clubs}

, but the turn brought a third diamond to make a flush for Eskilsson holding {A-Diamonds}

. A blank on the river, and a dejected Alacqua was left with just 3,000.

The very next hand, Moises Parrilla raised to 2,800, Alacqua went all in for 100 more, and it was the end of the road for the bearded Italian.

Minieri Down a Million?

Uffe Holm bet out 7,500 on the turn of a {8-Spades}

board, forcing Josh Gould to eventually fold. As the cards were mucked and the chips pushed towards Holm, announced Dario Minieri, "King-queen. I bet a million dollars."

Said Holm: "You have a million dollars?"

Minieri: "Yes."

Holm: "You pay a million dollars?"

Minieri: "Ummm... Yes."

Holm: "I'll bet a thousand dollars."

Minieri: "No. I only bet a million."

They shook on it, and Holm turned over pocket eights.

"You want the name of my bank in Denmark, or you pay cash?"

Minieri Loses Another 25,000 to Holm

More Minieri/Holm action, this time involving an actual hand rather than just the careless tossing around of seven-figure sums.

Minieri made it 3,600 from the button, only for Uffe Holm to make it around 10,000 from the small blind. After a little consideration, Minieri made it around 25,000. Holm called, and they saw a flop.

Flop: {10-Spades}

and a swift check from both led them to a turn.

Turn: {J-Hearts}

Holm considered for a moment, pulling his hood up so as to think better. Then he bet 15,000.

"You know what I have," sighed Minieri, and folded. "I think you have, er, six-eight," quipped Holm. "You're wrong," deadpanned Minieri.

Minieri drops down to a still very chunky 80,000, while Holm catapults up to 113,000.
