Mats Rahmn Eliminated

Mats Rahmn
Mats Rahmn
A short-stacked Mats Rahmn - a T6 sponsored pro - committed the last of his chips to the pot with an open-ended straight draw holding {4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} on a 3-5-Q board. PokerStars qualifier Willian Johnson looked him up with a monster, pocket kings, and they held up in a big way with the turn and river filling out A, K giving Johnson a set and the pot.

Tyler N Eliminated

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

PokerStars online qualifier Tyler N has just been eliminated from the tournament after his aces were cracked by an opponent’s pocket nines. Netter led out with a bet on a {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop and his lone opponent in the hand made the call. Disaster struck for Tyler on the turn when the {9-Spades} rolled off the deck giving his opponent a set. At this point all the money went in and the river blanked out sending Netter home empty handed, about 15 spots away from the money.

Miika Karjalainen Eliminated

Miika Karjalainen re-raised all in over the top of Daniel Woolson's opening raise. Daniel made the call with {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} which was behind Miika's {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}; however, the doorcard was the {A-Diamonds}. The rest of the board was {J-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Miika, a T6 poker player, has been eliminated.

Petersson v. Maceiras, Round 1

On a board showing {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, Magnus Petersson opened with a 15,000 bet and Juan Lapido Maceiras called rather quickly. The river brought the {2-Spades} and Petersson went into the tank for quite some time before sliding a stack worth 20,000 in chips across the betting line. Maceiras made another quick call and Magnus aimed his cards at the muck, conceding defeat to his opponent saying, "Ace high."

"Show," Maceiras answered, still guarding his cards with a chip. Petersson then reluctantly flipped over his A-Q high prompting Maceiras to reveal his pocket sevens. "I told you, man," the Spaniard chided. "I was putting you on ace-queen all the time," he added, before raking in the sizable pot.
