Ruthenberg Picks One Up

With the final board reading {Q-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {5-Hearts}, Sebastian Ruthenberg bet 1,050 into his opponent. The player took a brief moment to think and then made the call. Ruthenberg tabled {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades} and his opponent mucked.

"Action card on the turn." said the player. "Ace queen with the ace clubs."

The defending champ is sitting with around 21,000 chips currently.

Mercier's Rocky Start

Jason Mercier is finding it tough going today. "Ran into quads...and everyone keeps 4-betting me." He's already nursing a short stack with just a few thousand left.

Dragan V. De Wolfe; Dragan Wins

De Wolfe is at de door
De Wolfe is at de door
A big hand erupted between Dragan Galic and Roland de Wolfe, and the two of them made it as far as the river of an {A-Spades} {10-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {J-Hearts} board before Galic stuck in 8,000 and thus elicited a fold from de Wolfe. Galic showed him {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}.

Current Table Of Doom standings:

Dragan Galic: 42,000
Roland de Wolfe: 21,200
Arnaud Mattern: down to just 12,400
Michael Keiner, newly moved to the Table Of Doom: 31,000

Walthaus Dips

After a good start, Jorn Walthaus is down to 28,000.

Walthaus check-raised on a {4-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} flop and his opponent called to see a {9-Hearts} turn. Walthaus stuck in another 3,825 but his opponent called this too, and they proceeded to an {8-Clubs} river. Walthaus now checked, and then passed to a bet from his opponent, leaving himself with less than his starting stack.

Nitsche Flops the Better Set

Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche
LAPT event winner Dominik Nitsche was all in against his opponent on a flop of {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}. Nitsche held {Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades} and was relieved to see that his opponent held the set he could beat, tens.

The turn brought the {Q-Clubs}, giving Nitsche quads and ending the drama. The river completed the board with the {6-Clubs}.

This was the second time quads were seen besting a full house within seconds of each other. Nitsche is up to slightly over 50,000 chips.

Top Full House Loses to Quads!

A clearly ecstatic Aguiar.
A clearly ecstatic Aguiar.
Jonathan "FatalError" Aguiar has raised his opponent's river bet on a board of {9-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {9-Spades} {K-Clubs}. Immediately following the raise, the player said that he was all in, but didn't move any chips forward. Aguiar didn't hear the player amongst all the table chatter and having his headphones on. A moment went by before the player then slid his chips into the middle and then Aguiar instantly called.

Aguiar flipped over the other two nines, {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs}, to beat his opponent's {K-Hearts} {K-Spades}. Aguiar apologized after the table explained that it was somewhat of a slowroll. He simply didn't hear the man say that he was all in, but still felt bad about his mistake.

With that pot, Aguiar was able to eliminate his opponent and move up to 85,000 chips.
