Naujoks Shows What She's Got

Naujoks - not kicking up a fuss
Naujoks - not kicking up a fuss
An interesting hand involving Sandra Naujoks erupted shortly before the break.

Naujoks had bet 1,050 to a check from her opponent on the {A-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} flop and he had called; he check-called again on the {J-Hearts} turn. Both players checked the {10-Clubs} river -- at which point the opponent open-folded. The dealer started to push the pot towards Naujoks, when another player at the table complained that he would like to see Naujoks' cards. The dealer started to tell him that she didn't have to show, although after a moment of this, she flipped {J-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} in order to avoid any controversy.

Naujoks is on 29,300.

Pot Lost for Demidov

Ivan Demidov raised to 400 from the cutoff seat. The button called and then Boris Becker called out of the big blind. The flop came down {9-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}. Action checked to the button and he bet 475. Only Demidov called.

The turn brought the {3-Hearts}. Both players checked.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and Demidov check-folded to a bet of 1,200 from his opponent, dropping some chips just before the break.

Rousso Way Down

Vanessa Rousso was faced with a large bet of 7,000 chips in front of her. The final board read {10-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}. She tanked for a while, but eventually made the call.

Her opponent showed {8-Diamonds} {7-Spades} for a pair of sevens on the river. Rousso tabled {9-Clubs} {6-Clubs} for a pair of sixes and a busted club draw. She was left with only 6,000 chips.

Dario Fights Back

Minieri - been happier
Minieri - been happier
A small recovery for Dario Minieri after betting 6,500 on the river of a {3-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} board, leaving himself just 3,200 behind. After a long dwell, his opponent Cristiano Blanco passed.

The next hand, Minieri got involved with Dag Martin Mikkelsen, betting out on both the {A-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {6-Spades} flop and {Q-Spades} turn. Mikkelsen called on the flop, but gave it up on the turn.

Minieri creeps back up to 15,000.

Thorson Caught Out

A flop of {K-Spades} {5-Spades} {8-Hearts} is checked by William Thorson and Laurence Houghton to a third player who bets 1,025. Thorson raises to 2,400 and Houghton folded. The original bettor called, and then called a bet of 4,200 on the {4-Diamonds} turn.

The river was the {5-Diamonds} and both players checked, Thorson showed the {4-Hearts} and then mucked when he saw the {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} belonging to his opponent.
