Carter Phillips has picked up a nice pot courtesy of fellow American Cornel Cimpan.
Blind on blind, Phillips in the small blind was the aggressor all the way down the board, ending with an 80,000 bet on the river. Cimpan called, but when Phillips turned over for the flush, Cimpan mucked what he claimed was a smaller flush.
Marc Goodwin raised, only for Ari Kolpanitzki to move all in for 342,000. Goodwin went to fold his hand, then thought better of it, then folded anyway, giggling.
Oleksandr Vaserfirer had been open-shoving for a while with no takers, but finally his run would end.
After Toni Ojala opened under the gun, Vaserfirer moved all in from the button. Action got back to Ojala and he made the call holding . Vaserfirer held .
The board ran out and that was it for Vaserfirer. He went home in 16th place while Ojala moved up to 880,000.
Chip leader Marc Goodwin has been the most active player at the feature table recently, raising preflop an awful lot, and this time he got himself reraised to 120,000 by Mike "Timex" McDonald. Goodwin flatted.
They saw a flop and Goodwin checked. Timex bet -- but was left with a decision when Goodwin raised all in to cover him. He opted for the fold.
Mike "Timex" McDonald is taking a bit of a battering -- just now he raised in early position, but laid it down to a reraise from Matt Lapossie to his left, Timex looking distinctly frustrated as he mucked his hand.
small blind Roland de Wolfe and big blind Julien Nuijten limp/checked their way to a flop and de Wolfe bet out 35,000. Nuijten called.
De Wolfe checked the turn and Nuijten turned to him. "If I want you to fold, I should play now," he said. He checked.
They saw an river and now de Wolfe bet out 75,000. Nuijten tossed in enough orange 25,000 chips to cover de Wolfe, who swiftly and dejectedly folded. De Wolfe drops down to 280,000.
