JP Eliminates Kronwitter

JP Kelly continues to add to his stack with the run-good. He just knocked out Jonas Kronwitter with {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} spiking against the German's {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} on a {4-Spades} {8-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} board.

JP Kelly is up to about 340,000.

Clark Finds Cowboys

Dave Clark moved all in for shrapnel and got looked up by Andrew Lichtenberger, only to discover that Clark was holding the hole card equivalent of a prime rib dinner compared to Lichtenberger's Salisbury steak.

Lichtenberger: {4-Clubs} {4-Spades}
Clark: {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds}

Board: {2-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {8-Spades}

Clark can now dine out on his still rather shaky 58,000 double up.

Money Makes People Act Strangely

We were hoping we'd see some craziness now that we're in the money, and we've not been disappointed.

Antonio Buonanno raised, and the action folded to Ilkka "Ilari" Tahkokallio, who shoved for a massive 173,500 on top of the raise.

While Buonanno was dwelling, we were distracted by action on another table -- and we returned to discover that Buonanno had called with pocket jacks, and Tahkokallio's feeble {Q-?} {J-?} shoving hand had failed to outdraw him. A sheepish Tahkokallio claims 95th place money.

Reinkemeier Doubles

Tobias Reinkemeier just doubled up through Paul Kristofferson holding {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} on a {Q-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {J-Hearts} board against the Swede's {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades}. A blank {3-Spades} on the turn helped neither player but the {J-Clubs} river housed the German up to put him back into contention.

Michael In A Berry Tough Spot

On the turn of a {2-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {A-Spades} {10-Spades} board, Michael Berry saw his 15,000 bet check-raised by Andrew Lichtenberger to 50,000. Berry made a quick call to see the {4-Spades} river where Lichtenberger fired out 140,000 which represent about half of Berry's remamining stack.

Berry agonised for several minutes, talking to both himself and Lichtenberger, while shrugging his shoulders, clearly unsure what to do next. Eventually, and with the clock called on him, Berry folded as Lichtenberger silently took in the pot.
