Day 4, Here We Come

Hello and welcome back to our penultimate day here at the Hilton Metropole where 24 presumably happy and well-rested folks are about to hit the tables in an attempt to battle their way to the final table.

There is absolutely no sign of this tournament starting just yet, but hopefully we'll be getting down to it soon, with a minute and a half left of the 10,000/20,000/2,000 level.

Let's Get This Party Started

The unmistakable voice of Thomas Kremser is on the mic, letting us know that this tournament is off the Day 4 starting blocks. There's a minute and a half left of last night's level, but we'll very shortly be moving on up to level 23. Shuffle up and deal!

Level: 23

Blinds: 12,000/24,000

Ante: 2,000

No Craziness Yet

A slow start so far, at least at the feature table. Peter Eastgate has taken a couple very minor hits, first raising but folding to a reraise from Raymond Wu, and then calling a raise from Marty Smyth but folding to a continuation bet on the flop.

On Table 1...

Martin Gudvangen makes it 49,000 UTG and Rodrigo Caprioli calls in the big blind, but check-folds to a 71,000 bet on a {J-Spades} {4-Hearts} {8-Spades} bet.

Theo Tran bets 60,000 on a {K-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} flop but instantly folds when Dominic Cullen check-raises to 130,000.

While On Table 2...

Josef Samanek comes in for a raise and Jonathan Weekes reraises all-in for an additional 205,000 more. The Czech player puts on a pensive stare but then decides to fold.

Kenneth Hicks pushes all-in preflop in the next hand, but receives no callers.

Berry Throwing His Chip Weight Around

Michael Berry made it 80,000 under the gun and it folded around to Martin Gudvangen in the cutoff who re-popped for 200,000 total.

Berry, who today has opted to stack his chips in blogger-unfriendly stacks of what looks like 15 or so, dwelled up for long enough that we witnessed a whole hand come and go on the other table, before four-betting to 500,000. Fold.
