Ruben Visser is no longer in - the last of his chips went in having seen a heads up flop with Ilari Sahamies. He'd paired his 's six on the flop, but Sahamies was never passing the drawtastic . Visser stood up and said, "Good game," as soon as the hit the turn, barely noting the river.
A 100k pot had built up between Florian Langmann and Mark Teltscher by the river, the board standing . It was Teltscher to act first, and he thought quietly for a long time. Langmann waited patiently, and when Teltscher finally bet 45k, he instacalled, and must have been pleased to hear a sigh. Sure enough, Teltscher's was no good against Langmann's .
There seems to be a lot of re-raising going on on Table Alaei. Just now William Thorson started the party, but by the time Daniel Alaei had made it 27k on the button and big blind Anthony Ginetti had shoved for 42,400, he'd lost interest. Alaei shrug-called with , which turned out to be up against .
The chips on that table (in seat order):
Andras Bartha - 95k
Dan Shak - 190k
Vanessa Rousso - 62k
William Thorson - 123k
Daniel Alaei - 280k
Ilari Sahamies - 170k
Anthony Ginetti - 104k
Alexandre Gomes gave it a shot check-raising a flop, but Lev Myrmsky called the extra 17k after a mini-dwell. Both players checked the turn, and Gomes also declined to bet the river, although he gave a bit of a grimace as Myrmsky took the hand down with .
It's been a rocky old road for Bertrand Grospellier today - but it took a turn for the better when on the river (the board ) he moved his last 13,600 into a 100k+ pot. His opponent Chris Ferguson didn't call immediately - in fact, he sat there looking at the rivered ace for a while, but in the last few went in the end. He mucked on seeing Grospellier's , though.
Chip stacks are changing rapidly over on Table 50. Here's how that table looks at the moment (bearing in mind that by the time I post this it could all be different):
Roberto Romanello - 285k
Andrew Lichtenberg - 124k (just doubled through vs. Devilfish hitting quads with sixes vs. A-Q)
Juha Helppi - 185k
John Kabbaj - 133k
David Eldar - 83k
Andrew Feldman - 150k (he's also wearing the DEVIL half of Devilfish's ring)
Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott - 84k
Johan Van Til, whose stack never got up to a dizzying height but who'd proved tenacious through yesterday's long test of poker, has been eliminated. Play is now paused for a 10 minute break (they're getting shorter and shorter - the final will probably have 30 second breaks every three levels).
After doubling Lichtenberg, Devilfish has dropped well below 100k. He raised to 15k preflop just now after Andrew Feldman limped in mid position, only to find a limp-reraise of 25k back at him. He made the call, saw the flop, heard Feldman announce all in, said, "You're good, dealer," and passed.
