It's been a crazy Day 1b over here at the Monte Carlo Bay. 539 runners started today, a whole bunch more than the 396 that played Day 1a, and if anything the field was even more star-studded -- this whole tournament has so far amounted to more or less a who's who of international poker.

Those who fell by the wayside today included Devilfish, Gavin Griffin, Neil Channing and John Juanda, as well as reigning champion Glen Chorny and hiphop star Nelly. Those who have come out in fine shape for Day 2 however, include Ami Barer and Dag Palovic, who are both currently vying for the chip lead. They are closely trailed by Steeve "Not A Typo" Berdah, David Williams, Sandra Naujoks, Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Andy Bloch. Each are on very decent stacks and it's anyone's game.
