Here Comes Day 2

Marcel Luske is one of the many Team PokerStars Pros still in the field
Marcel Luske is one of the many Team PokerStars Pros still in the field
With Day 1b wrapping up yesterday and 288 players moving on from that flight, the total number of remaining players is 484. Kfir Yamin and Tu Tuan To are the only two players who were able to build to over 200,000 chips and come into the day with 213,500 and 212,600, respectively.

Sitting with over 140,000 chips is David Paredes. If you remember back to a week or so back, Paredes final tabled the NAPT Venetian in Las Vegas. He finished in fifth place and earned nearly $184,000. He'll be someone to keep an eye on and we'll see if he can put together back-to-back deep runs.

Team PokerStars Pro is also heavily represented on Day 2. Jude Ainsworth, Florian Langmann, William Thorson, George Danzer, Johannes Strassmann, Benjamin Kang, Marcel Luske, Julian Thew, Michael Keiner, Noah Boeken, Vlad Zguba, Chad Brown, Katja Thater, Sebastian Ruthenberg and Vicky Coren complete the list of pros still in. Ainsworth ha the most chips out of all of them with 138,100. There's also plenty of qualifiers and PokerStars players still in the field.

Play kicks off at noon time here in Berlin, Germany and you can bet that PokerNews will be here to bring you all the action. Stay tuned!

Early Exits

Spotted heading for the door already: PokerStars sponsored player Charlotte Roche, EPT Barcelona final tablist Georgios Kapalas and Finnish EPT fixture Juha Lauttamus.

Nosy Neighbors

Here's the gossip on some interesting table pairing. Vicky Coren is seated next to tennis great Boris Becker, and Marc Gork is also at their table. Dag Palovic spent all day yesterday at a table with two Team PokerStars pros, and today he's sharing the felt with Vlad Zguba, a member of Team Ukraine.

Jeff Sarwer is rubbing elbows with German TV personality Charlotte Roche, so we're sure he'll have the charm on full blast. Juha Helppi, Dara O'Kearney and Pierre Neuville are all at one table. They'll probably be some fireworks between Table 29 with David Paredes and Michel Abecassis and Table 30, with [Removed:197] and Ketul Nathwani.

The conversation might be the most entertaining at Table 35, shared by Chris "cdbr3799" Dombrowski, Marcel Luske, and Antonin Teisseire. But Table 40 will certainly give it a run for its money. The world's most talkative player, Peter Hedlund (yes, even chattier than Daniel Negreanu) is seated with Tobias Reinkemeier, Alessio Isaia, Manuel Bevand, and soccer star Vikash Dhorasso.

Entertaining Table Draws Part II

Noah Boeken
Noah Boeken
We've caught a few more tables to watch. Big stack William Thorson has another PokerStars Pro, Vadim Markushevski, at his table as well as the Day 1a chip leader, Kfir Yamin. The Day 1b chip leader, Tu Tuan To, also has to contend with two Team Pros, Johannes Strassmann and Katja Thater, plus Sam Chartier and Jan Collado.

Another table with two PokerStars Pros has Julian Thew and Noah Boeken. Kevin Macphee is stuck in between them. Team Pros Theirry Van Den Berg and George Danzer are also sharing a table. Jude Ainsworth's got Joel Benzinou and Jan Boubli at his table. And everyone's favorite Italian pirate, Max Pescatori, is seated with everyone's favorite Lithuanian Kristijonas Andrulis and Nicolo Calia, for good measure.

Coren Feeling Pushy

There are many contenders for Table Of The Day here at the Hyatt, but one particularly fun option is Table 11, featuring as it does Boris Becker, Vicky Coren, Marc Gork and Evgeniy Zaytsev.

Just now we witnessed [Removed:348] raise to 2,700 in the hijack and get a call from Hichem Ben Halima in the cutoff - but Vicky Coren shoved frmo the big blind and they both folded. She raked in the pot giggling, and is up to almost 40,000.

Ribera Out Too

Toni Gomez Ribera moved in on a {4-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {4-Spades} flop holding {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} - but to his left Baris Ergün called with {4-Hearts} {3-Hearts} for trips which only improved into a flush on the {7-Hearts} turn and {K-Hearts} river.
