Ainsworth Finds a Double

Ainsworth doubles to 800k
Ainsworth doubles to 800k
Jude Ainsworth moved all in from the button and Stefan Huber called from the big blind. Ainsworth held the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Huber held the {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. There was a dead small blind in the hand.

The flop came down {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Ainsworth stayed in the lead. The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and then the river was the {9-Hearts} to give AInsworth a full house. He was able to dodge elimination and not be the second of the Team PokerStars Pros to hit the rail.

Koller Defends Well

Evgeniy Zaytsev raised preflop from middle position, and Marcel Koller defended his big blind. The flop came {Q-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}, and Koller bet out 68,000. Evgeniy Zaytsev raised to 155,000, and after a minute, Koller counted out a big bet. He started to slide the awkward stacks forward and then thought better of it. "All in," he said with a Tiffany Michelle-esqe wave at his stack, approximately 780,000. Zaytsev quickly folded.

Holz Holds Up

Iikka Tahkokallio opened to 54,000, and Lennart Holz moved all in from the button. Marc Inizan announced a call. It wasn't until it reached Marko Neumann in the big blind that anyone bothered to count Holz' stack. He had 665,000, which was enough to make Neumann fold. Tahkokallio folded as well, and it was time to turn 'em up. Holz had Inizan out-pipped with {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} to the big stack's {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}. The board came out {A-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {8-Diamonds}, and Holz doubled up. Inizan fell to 1.51 million.

Nice One for Nathwani

Ketul Nathwani and Paul Thomas Otto got involved in a big hand heads up when Nathwani raised from the cutoff and Otto called on the button.

Flop: {9-Spades} {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} - Nathwani checked, and Otto checked behind.

Turn: {4-Diamonds} - Nathwani bet out 155,000, and Otto called.

River: {3-Clubs} - Nathwani bet again, this time 375,000. Rather than counting out the calling chips, Otto hoped it'd be unnecessary and just announced a call. Nathwani rolled over {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the rivered flush and took down the sizable pot.

Joao Barbosa Eliminated in 22nd Place (€23,500)

Joao Barbosa and Iikka Tahkokallio limped and checked their respective blinds to see a {6-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {10-Hearts} flop. Barbosa bet out a mere 35,000; Tahkokallio called and they saw the turn.

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and now Barbosa bet out 75,000. Tahkokallio made it 175,000, Barbosa went all in and Tahkokallio called.

Barbosa: {K-Clubs} {J-Spades}
Tahkokallio: {Q-Spades} {6-Diamonds}

River: {K-Diamonds}

The king wasn't enough to beat Tahkokallio's two pair, and the EPT Warsaw winner will not be doing the double this time.

Break from Breaking

Blinds have gone up even though there wasn't a break. Since they started the first level of the day with less than an hour to go, Thomas Kremzer asked the players if they wanted a break or not, and it was decided just to move on to the next level. They'll take a 15-minute break in another 75 minutes.

Kastner Nearing Two Million

Norman Kastner raised from under the gun to 54,000. Lennart Holz flat-called from the next seat and then Marko Neumann reraised from the button to 160,000. Kastner four-bet to 257,000 when action got back to him and Holz folded. Neumann made the call in position.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} and Kastner fired 285,000. Neumann folded and dropped to 1.025 million. Kastner moved up to nearly two million.

AAAinsworth

Jude Ainsworth opened to 67,000 and got three-bet yet again, this time by Kevin MacPhee, who made it a small 134,000. Jude wasn't going to fold again. Instead, he swiftly moved all in for 563,000 on top. MacPhee looked him up and didn't like what he saw.

Showdown
Ainsworth: {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs}
MacPhee: {6-Spades} {6-Diamonds}

The flop was a safe {9-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {3-Hearts}, but the {2-Diamonds} on the turn gave MacPhee four extra straight outs. They weren't enough, however, and the {8-Diamonds} on the river gave Ainsworth a double up. He's now got 1.3 million, more than enough to be a threat to the table. MacPhee has fallen to 1.8 million.

Nathwani at Triple a Million

Ketul Nathwani raised from the button to 68,000 and then Marcel Koller reraised from the big blind to 145,000. Nathwani made the call.

The two players saw a flop of {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Koller fired 170,000. After a minute or so went by, Nathwani raised to 400,000 and Koller snap-folded his hand. Nathwani moved to three million chips while Koller dropped to 840,000.
