Chartier Goes From Eight Big Blinds to Fifty

Sam Chartier finished out the day on a rush
Sam Chartier finished out the day on a rush
On one of the last hands of the night, a player raised it up to 12,500 from early position and then Sam Chartier called from late position. The two players saw a flop come {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}. The original preflop raiser made it 18,500 to go and Chartier flatted.

The turn added the {A-Diamonds} to the board and the first player checked. Chartier took a minute before betting 32,000. His opponent called rather quickly.

The {A-Hearts} fell on the river and now the board contained two pair, aces and nines. The straight and flush draws that were out there on the flop failed to get there and the first player checked. Chartier tanked for a few minutes while most of the other tables in the room were bagging and tagging. Eventually, he fired a bet of 30,000. His opponent quickly called again.

Chartier tabled the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a full house, nines full of aces, after flopping three nines. His opponent mucked with a disgusted look on his face and the pot went the Canadian's way. Charter has gone from grinding on the short stack to bagging up just under 300,000 chips at 296,500. The last quarter of the final level saw Chartier hit a crazy rush to go from having under eight big blinds to finishing with what will be just under 50 big blinds to start the day tomorrow.
