MacPhee's Two Pair Better than Wasek's Two Pair

All smiles for the chip leader
All smiles for the chip leader
Aciton folded around to Kevin MacPhee in the small blind and he raised to 200,000. Artur Wasek quickly made the call from the big blind. The flop came down {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades} and MacPhee continued with a bet of 235,000. Wasek made the call.

The turn pair the board with fives, putting the {5-Clubs} out there. MacPhee checked and Wasek fired 335,000. MacPhee made the call.

The river was the {8-Clubs} and MacPhee checked. Wasek checked behind and tabled the {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for two pair, nines and fives. MacPhee had him beat though with the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} for kings and fives and won the pot. As has been the storyline of this final table, more chips slide MacPhee's way.
