Dombrowski Curbs Rossen Rush

Chris Dombrowski
Chris Dombrowski
Stig Rossen opened for 23,000 only for Chris Dombrowski to push all in from the small blind.

"How much is it?" asked Rossen, but then didn't wait for the answer before announcing call.

Rossen: {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds}
Dombrowski: {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}

Board: {7-Spades} {K-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {5-Diamonds}

Dombrowski doubles to 450,000.

ElkY Crippled

In a spot of bother.
In a spot of bother.
A very hefty pot had formed by the time we caught up with the action on the river.

Board: {6-Clubs} {3-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}

Anton Wigg had moved all in and was waiting for ElkY on the button to act. A large crowd gathered around the table as ElkY thought about it and eventually he called - but promptly mucked when Wigg turned over {6-Spades} {6-Diamonds} for a full house.

ElkY is down to just 70,000 after that. It looked like he was giggling behind his hand.

Watch Out For Teng

Imagine him with about three times this many chips
Imagine him with about three times this many chips
We caught the tail end of a relatively big pot over on Table 37. With a board of {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} showing and about 150,000 chips in the pot, Andrew Teng slid out a bet of 102,000. Jan Djerberg was his lone opponent, and he didn't waste too much time making the call.

Teng tabled {5-Clubs} {7-Clubs} for the flush, and Djerberg looked like someone had run over his dog. He flashed {A-Spades} {J-Hearts} as he flung his cards back into the dealer's muck.

Teng is starting to accumulate quite a tower of chips over there. He's still stacking up, but it looks like he's become the second player to crawl over the million-chip mark.

Kaltrud Missing

It looks as though Patrik Kaltrud could not recover from his crippling at the end of the last level - whatever happened, he is nowhere to be found now, presumed busted.

Calia On Top After Funnest Board Ever

It folded around to Mads Wissing in the small blind, who did the decent thing and raised. In the big blind, Nicolo Calia pushed all in.

Wissing dwelled up for a long time before announcing that he was going to let Calia decide if he would call. Calia declined but offered to show one card of Wissing folded.

"I think you have ace-king," said Wissing at last. "I call."

Wissing: {7-Diamonds} {7-Spades}
Calia: {A-Spades} {8-Clubs}

Flop: {9-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds}

Calia looked pleased, naturally.

Turn: {7-Hearts}

"YESSS!!!" shouted Wissing. "No ten..."

River: {10-Hearts}

Calia made the straight and doubled to 225,000. Wissing looked shell-shocked and dropped to 260,000 or so.

Guldhammer v. Raffey

Morton Guldhammer opened to 20,000 in early position, and Stefan Raffey made the call a couple seats down the line. Heads up, the flop came out {8-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {4-Clubs}. Guldhammer clumsily fired out a continuation bet of 30,000. Raffey studied his fidgety opponent for a minute or two before making the call.

Fourth street brought the {3-Clubs}, and Guldhammer dropped 50,000 chips into the pot from eye level. Raffey again paused to consider before moving all in for about 120,000 total. Guldhammer called the remainder.

Showdown
Guldhammer: {K-Hearts} {4-Hearts}
Raffey: {9-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}

The nines were ahead for Raffey, and the {A-Hearts} on the river secured his double up. He's essentially traded stacks with Guldhammer, up to about 340,000 now.

Breaking Things

We've got another level in the books, and the players are taking a 15-minute break. The mood is a bit lighter now that all 45 remaining players are guaranteed a payday this week.

Three-Way All In Madness, Again

We arrived just in time to see the tail end of a three-way all in confrontation. We're not terribly sure what happened, but our money is on the chips going in on the flop.

Richard Loth: {K-Clubs} {K-Spades}
Lee Gaines: {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}
Patrik Kaltrud: {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs}

Board: {7-Clubs} {10-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {5-Spades}

Loth picked up the main pot for a full triple up, while Gaines actually lost chips on the hand, though he got the 110,000 side pot. Kaltrud will be coming back after the break to just a few big blinds - he's absolutely crippled down to 30,000.
