Use The Fours

Toni Pettersson raised to 525,000 and Jakob Carlsson defended in the big blind. The flop was a dry {9-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} and the Swede check-called a bet of 425,000 from his Finnish opponent.

The turn was the {K-Spades} and Carlsson check-called a second bet, this time to the tune of 650,000. The river was the {3-Spades} and it went check-check on the river. Pettersson was forced to show {Q-Spades} {10-Clubs} losing out to Carlsson who had been obstinate with his {4-Diamonds} {4-Spades}

Liv and Let Liv's Blinds Alone

Jakob Carlsson limped in from the small blind, but big blind Liv Boeree was having none of it. She raised to 900,000, and Carlsson laid it down immediately.

The next hand Carlsson raised to 450,000 form the button, but Boeree made it 1.1 million from the small blind and he gave it up.

Michael Piper Eliminated in 4th Place (€345,000)

Michael Piper - 4th place
Michael Piper - 4th place
Jakob Carlsson raised for the third time in a row and this time Toni Pettersson called in the small blind. Michael Piper, however, announced all in for 4,695,000 from the big blind. Carlsson called amazingly quickly, Pettersson got out of their way, and they were on their backs.

Carlsson: {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts}
Piper: making a move but still very live with {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts}

Board: {2-Spades} {2-Clubs} {K-Spades} {4-Hearts} {2-Hearts}

Ladies and gentlemen, the man with the moustache will not be going any further in this tournament. He got a hug from the lovely Liv Boeree and €345,000 as consolation.

Carlsson - 25 million
Pettersson - 6 million
Boeree - 5.5 million

Toni Isn't Pettering Out Yet

Toni Pettersson got into a raising war preflop against Jakob Carlsson that resulted in the Finn being all-in for his tournament life.

Pettersson: {A-Hearts} {A-Spades}
Carlsson: {8-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}

Board: {K-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}

Pettersson dodged the clubs (and eights) on the river to boost his stack to almost 12 million.

Boeree Doubles Through Pettersson

Liv Boeree raised to 575,000 form the small blind and big blind Toni Pettersson reraised an amount that was rather lost on us as Boeree had already announced all in. Pettersson announced call.

Boeree: {8-Clubs} {8-Spades}
Pettersson: {K-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}

Board: {3-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {J-Spades} {9-Spades} {8-Hearts}

With a clap of delight, Boeree doubled to 11,890,000 while Pettersson is now the short stack on around 6 million.

Carlsson Can't Call

Liv Boeree opened to 450,000 from the button, and Jakob Carlsson came along with the call from the big blind.

The flop came out {K-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {8-Hearts}, and Carlsson knocked the table. Boeree continued out with a bet of 550,000 before Carlsson snuck in a check-raise to 1.475 million total. Boeree considered it carefully before coming right back over the top with another raise, 3.6 million straight. Carlsson couldn't call; he slid his cards into the muck, and Boeree draws ever closer...

Boeree: ~14 million
Carlsson: ~17 million
