Hougaard Chipping Up

We picked up a heads-up pot involving Jesper Hougaard just moments ago. In a raised pot, he and his opponent saw a flop of {J-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {4-Spades}. The action check-checked there, and the {6-Diamonds} landed on fourth street. That drew a leading bet of 3,100. His opponent quickly called.

The river came the {J-Clubs}, and Hougaard took pause for a moment. Eventually, he stacked out a final bet of 6,900 and slid it forward. The cards of his opponent went into the muck without delay, and that pot pushes Hougaard up to 60,000 as the final break of the night approaches.

Lykov Caught Out

With around 15,000 in the pot by the turn of the {7-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} when the player in mid position checked. Maxim Lykov on the button bet 7,200 and Mr. Mid Position disappeared into the tank. When he emerged, he moved all in for around 20,000 - and an instafold from Lykov later, the pot was his.

No feeling sorry for Mr. Lykov, though - he's still extremely comfortable on around 100,000.

Strassmann Surges

Johannes Strassmann
Johannes Strassmann
Johannes Strassmann has hit the 100,000 mark after a recent double up.

The board read {K-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Strassmann was faced with a bet of 10,000 in front of him. He reponded by moving all in for 46,875. His opponent thought about it momentarily before making the call with {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. Strassmann needed some help, holding {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

Alas, the {2-Spades} turn sealed the deal. The {2-Clubs} river was merely a formality and Strassmann now has 102,000.

Net Los

An enormous pot had formed by the river of the {Q-Clubs} {2-Spades} {5-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} board, which Fedor Los checked. His opponent on the button bet 15,500 and Los stared him down for a while before folding.

Los is down to 55,000.

Perner Saves Some Chips

Bernhard Perner raised to 2,200 in middle position and was called by the player in the hijack seat, as well as the player in the big blind.

The flop ran out {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and it was checked to Perner who bet 4,200. The hijack seat player was the lone caller. The {9-Hearts} fell on the turn and Perner checked to his opponent. The bet that followed was 11,100, nearly half of what the unknown opponent had left. Perner went into the tank, eventually folding {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} face up. His opponent commended the fold, showing {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}.

Perner is on his game with about 215,000.
