"The Camel" Takes A Sip

Last hand of the level saw the small blind limp in but Keith Hawkins bumped it up to 450 and got called.

Both checked the {4-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} flop, before Hawkins lead out for 600 on the {4-Hearts} turn and 1,100 on the {6-Spades} river. Hawkins was called both times and flipped {K-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} to scoop the pot.

Selin Yourself Short

Attention all players at Patrick Selin's table! Shaun Deeb, Fatima de Melo, Richard Gryko, we're talking to you!

Mr. Patrick Selin has put a bounty of €1,000 on his own head. Ok, so maybe it's not big bucks if you've already coughed up €10,000 to play today, but hey, don't knock it. That'll buy you a good few Monte Carlo cheeseburgers.

Keating Loses One

On a board of {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} an opponent made a bet of 1,800. Alex Keating made the call and the two were on to the turn.

The {10-Hearts} fell and both players checked.

When the {q-Spades} Keating's opponent bet 4,500. Keating took a minute before mucking his cards, giving his opponent the pot.

Who Else Is Over There?

By the by the number of tables in the other room may be small, but my are they perfectly formed.

Among the folks battling it out across the way are Claudio "Father Of Luca" Pagano, Carlos "The Matador" Mortensen, Leo Margets, Catherine Hong, Alfonso Amendola, Richard "Chufty" Ashby, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Rob Hollink and Vlad Zguba.

Batista Suffers Powerslam

Chad Batista is already heading back to his room at the hotel. He got it in with {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} against {J-?} {J-?} on a {J-?} {9-Hearts} {8-Hearts} board and did not get there.

Meanwhile, on the same table Novelist Charlotte Roche has made an impression on Chris Moorman. "If it had been Ivey in that seat, he'd have been pretty impressed with himself so far," said Moorman. "She 3-barrels everyone and hasn't had a single hand go to showdown yet!"

Calia Coolered

A very nice Italian lady appeared at the PokerNews bloggers' desk asking where she might find her friend Nicolo Calia. We looked him up on the player list, discovered that he was in the other room, and seeing as we were heading that way anyway we offered to show her the way.

So we made it to the other room, and we found Nicolo Calia all in and then busted.

We're not sure when the chips went in but we would guess on the flop or the turn.

Calia: {5-?} {5-?}
Belkhayate El Mostafa: {Q-?} {10-?}

Board: {5-?} {Q-?} {10-?} {Q-?} {3-?}

"YES! I AM HERE!" shouted Mostafa, as he bumped his stack up to a very impressive 85,000. Calia meanwhile is now free to hava a pleasant and relaxed drink with his charming friend at the bar, as he is busto.

Wiszowaty Gets Paid Off by Crazy Bluffer

Wow, some early good fortune for one Philip Wiszowaty as the gentleman in seat 1 opened for 375 and picked up two callers before Wiszowaty made it 2,175 from the small blind. Mr. Seat 1 called, the other two got out of their way, and they saw a flop.

Wiszowaty check-called 4,000 on the {5-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} flop and another 10,000 on the {8-Diamonds} turn. This is level 2, remember. Blinds are 75/150. Wiszowaty checked the {2-Spades} river too and must have been disappointed that Mr. Seat 1 finally checked behind, as Wiszowaty turned over {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} for top set. Mr. Seat 1 turned over {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs} for absolutely nothing. Maybe he had too much coffee at breakfast or something.

Mr. Seat 1 bluffed off another 4,000 next hand too. Absolute craziness.

The Shark Takes a Bite

"Who is de keeng?"
"Who is de keeng?"
Humberto Brenes made it 350 to go preflop. JP Kelly and one other person made the call.

The flop came down {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

Brenes made a bet of 700, which was raised by Kelly to 1,800. The third player got out of the way and it was the two Pros that went to the turn.

Both checked the {q-Clubs} turn, but when Brenes made a bet of 2,200 on the {7-Diamonds} river, Kelly mucked his cards.
