A bold move from Candido Goncalves as he check-raised 150,000 on the turn of a board over a 71,000 bet. Across the table, proud Canadian Todd Sisley (he's wearing some sort of red sports top emblazoned with an enormous maple leaf) called.
The river was a doesn't-help-anyone and Goncalves quickly announced all in to cover Sisley, who had just 475,000 left. Sisley tanked up for a while, his mouth agape, and after less than two minutes Goncalves called the clock. TD Thomas Kremser in his infinite wisdom decided that it hadn't been long enough and gave Sisley an extra 30 seconds or so before commencing the countdown, but Sisley timed out anyway and his hand was declared dead.
Goncalves showed him pocket deuces for a rather dramatic effect.
So far the feature table has been a very cagey affair, with most pots being settled preflop. Italian, Marco Bognanni has been by far the most active player at the table and he has shown he is not afraid to splash his chips around.
In a hand just completed now, Bognanni raised to 45,000 preflop and then called Dominik Nitsche's three-bet to 105,000.
Flop:
Bognanni checked, Nitsche fired a bet of 135,000 and then instantly folded as Bognanni moved all-in.
The last player to take his seat at Table 3 was Ognjen Sekularac. He may have been the last player to take his seat but he was the first to put a raise into the pot in the very first hand. Sekularac who started events in 6th place put in a raise of 58,000 and received a three-bet to his direct left from Jose Luis Navarro Giner. Sekularac called and the flop was dealt.
Flop:
Sekularac checked and Navarro bet 140,000 and Sekularac made the call. The turn was and Sekularac spoke very quietly to Navarro and he mucked his hand. I can only assume he told him he was all-in.

In the middle of the pack is Konstantin Puchkov, who won his first bracelet at this year's WSOP and he will be looking to add an EPT title to his name too. Towards the bottom of the chip counts is Kristoffer Thorsson, who lost the massive pot late on as mentioned above, but if the Swede manages to pick up some chips early on in proceedings, he will be the biggest threat to the rest of the field. As things stand now he really has his work cut out for him, but anything can happen in poker!
