Makovenko Confuses Weekes

Jonathan Weekes opened his button, and Oleg Makovenko called in the small blind.

Flop: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} - Makovenko checked, and Weekes bet 30,000. Makovenko made a careful call.

Turn: {2-Diamonds} - Makovenko took the initiative this time. Well, sort of. He min-bet 8,000. Weekes was confused, but opted just to call.

River: {k-Spades} - Makovenko went back to checking, and Weekes tried to take it down with a 70,000 bet. Makovenko looked him up, and all Weekes could show was {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for ace-high and the sevens on the board. Makovenko's {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} was good enough to win, leaving Weekes at 455,000, his lowest point in a day.
