Pagano Busto

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano has just been eliminated in 51st place, his 18th cash on the EPT circuit, breaking his own record.

Pagano had been crippled just before the break but had doubled up through Bastien Casanova right after the restart.

Despite this double up he was still quite short on chips and needed to find a way to claw himself back into contention. He tried this before his exit hand when he moved all in for around 95,000 from middle position, a bet that won him the blind and antes.

The next hand he raised to 15,000 and when the action folded to Domantas Klimciauskas in the big blind he asked how much Pagano was playing. "106. It should be 106" and with that Klimciauskas moved a tower of yellow chips in front of the betting line, effectively putting Pagano all in.

The Italian then went into deep thought, removed his headphones and made the call.

Klimciauskas:{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Pagano:{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Pagano wasn't happy and said something in Italian which I am sure I wouldn't have been allowed to repeat on here even if I understood it and then said in English, "time to catch three outs" referring to the fact he could only really hit a king to win.

Flop:{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} - The flop essentially killed him off

Turn:{5-Diamonds} - Game over for Pagano

River:{q-Diamonds} - Too little too late for Pagano who headed to the cashier's desk to pick up his winnings

Gone Fischin'

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Bastian Fischer has doubled up through former chip leader Philip Meulyzer, the latter had made a 3-bet to 27,500 before Fischer responded by making it 57,000.

"All-in," said Meulyzer and Fischer instantly made the call.

Meulyzer: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Fischer: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The board came {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Fischer doubled up to about 430,000. Meulyzer dropped to 680,000.

Adeniya Gets a Pint of Murphy's

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Martins Adeniya
Martins Adeniya

The flop read {5-Clubs}{q-Spades}{3-Clubs} when we got there, and Denis Murphy bet out 14,000. Martins Adeniya called behind and they saw another card.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Murphy bet out again, this time to the tune of 33,000. Again, Adeniya flatted and they proceeded to the river.

The river came down the {9-Hearts} and this time the two players checked it down. Murphy matter-of-factly tabled {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, but Adeniya turned over first the {j-Spades} and then the {j-Clubs} to take the pot. The young Brit is now up to 695,000, the Irish online qualifier down to 635,000..

De Visscher Feels the Drag

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Cristian Dragomir
Cristian Dragomir

Cristian Dragomir continues to survive, he just doubled up through chip leader Koen De Visscher.

Dragomir had pushed over a raise for his last 101,500 on the button and De Visscher reraised all-in from the big blind, pushing the initial raiser out of the way.

Dragomir turned over {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, behind but live against De Visscher's {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and he managed to hit on a {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} board to double up to 210,000.

Franchi Busts on a Coinflip

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Dominique Franchi has become the latest victim of Kevin Vandersmissen after losing the trademark poker coinflip.

Vandersmissen open raised on the button, Franchi re-raised from the small blind and before anyone had chance to react both players were all in, with Franchi being the one at risk.

Franchi:{a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Vandermissen:{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The final board ran out {j-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and it was game over for Franchi whilst Vandermissen continues his climb up the payout levels

Heinke Defenestrated By Wim Bos

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Ramin Henke was short-stacked and pushed his last remaining chips in with {q-Hearts}{7-Spades} but Wim Bos was sitting behind him with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} and quickly made short work of the German PokerStars qualifier when the board came {9-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

Bos moves back over the 500,000 mark.
