Lundmark Victory

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante
Kent Lundmark
Kent Lundmark

Antonio Buonanno opened to 4,500 from the button, but Kent Lundmark decided to make it All In from the big blind - 56,100 in total. Buonanno thought long and hard, but eventually folded, much to the disappointment of the TV crew who had positioned themselves all around the table and now had very little to show for their efforts.

The EPT Barcelona champion stays in the game on a little over 60,000.

Eastgate Piles On the Pressure

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Peter Eastgate
Peter Eastgate

Peter Eastgate has kept his stack above average for quite a while, and just picked up a tidy pot without showdown with a flop shove. Pedro Aldave bet out 10k into two opponents on a {10-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop, and found Alek Samardzic calling before Eastgate moved in for 103k more. This brought a long think from both of them. The bettor was pretty much covered, and counted down his stack for a while before reluctantly folding, while caller Samardzic had a healthy 160,000+ stack but also declined to call.

Eastgate: 150,000

Get Your Bichon (To the Tune of 'Get Your Freak On')

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Thomas Bichon
Thomas Bichon

Thomas Bichon has just won one of the biggest pots of the tournament so far after he eliminated two players in the same hand.

John Eames had opened preflop with {j-}{j-} before Bichon reraised behind with {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} then a short-stack moved all-in for 32,000 with {a-}{q-}.

"The short stack makes it tough for me to fold there," admitted a disappointed Eames afterwards, "I have to shove and hope Thomas doesn't have a hand."

But Bichon had the boots and a board of {6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades} gave him a huge pot. Bichon is up to 285,000.

Respect Your Helders

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Cristian Dragomir
Cristian Dragomir

Well, that was a short spell at the top of the chip counts for Cristian Dragomir - he's now back down to 145,000 after doubling up Jason Helder.

We caught it on the turn of the {8-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board, with Dragomir betting out 28,400. On the button, Helder went all in for an additional 54,400. At this point a cameraman pushed right in front of us, completely blocking the view - but this was OK, as Dragomir tanked up for several minutes, easily enough time to manoeuvre ourselves into a different vantage point.

After a good five minutes, Dragomir suddenly piped up, "You good?" And just a second or two later he made the call.

Dragomir: {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for top pair and a flush draw
Helder: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a set

River: {8-Hearts} making Helder quads

The American online qualifier doubled to 220,000, not far off the chip lead.
