End of Day 3: Pidun Leads

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Daniel Pidun
Daniel Pidun

With 24 players left, we are finished after a long gruelling day's play in which we lost 95 players who all managed to make at least €7,500. However, it's Daniel Pidun who ended the day as chip leader with 2,429,000 after winning several late pots from Maximilian Heinzelman and Mikhail Lahkov.

Among the many players who finished in the cash were the Snowfest top three, Vladimir Geshkenbein, Kevin Vandersmissen and Koen De Visscher but all three busted out by the end of the day.

We have also lost all our former EPT winners during the events of today, Barcelona winner Kent Lundmark and Tallinn champion Kevin Stani were the final two to be eliminated today. However, Martin Jacobson who finished second at both Deauville and Vilamoura (as well as cashing at Copenhagen) still remains in the field, as does Canadian Ben Wilinofsky.

PokerStars Team Pros Joep van den Bijgaart and Henrique Pinho both had late surges to both make it around the 1.4 million mark. Fabrice Soulier went the other way today, making it through but finishing with less chips than he started with after some very tough grinding.

Tomorrow we will be starting at 1pm not 12pm, so we'll be getting an extra hour of sleep tonight. Hurrah!
