Eames Starting to Frustrate Brammer

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Mates OFF the table

Remember earlier in the day when British pros John Eames and Chris Brammer clashed and Eames won a big pot though it looked like Brammer may have folded the best hand? Well Eames has just gotten under his skin again, forcing Brammer to fold.

In the hand Mikhail Shahnovich opened to 500 from middle position, Svetlana Afanasjeva called and then Morgan Wald raised it up to 1,525. Next to act was Brammer and he put in a raise to 4,500, putting the action onto Eames. He sat for around 30 seconds before making it 9,000 to go.

Everyone folded back to Brammer who threw his cards onto the table and let out a large sigh. He looked visibly frustrated and from the table chatter afterwards he said he folded two queens. Did Eames have him beat?

Della Penna Wins One as the JP Kelly Table Breaks

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

The table housing Team Pokerstars Pro J P Kelly was just starting to get interesting before it broke. We caught the following hand just before the tables demise.

Nichlas Mattson opened the action with a raise to 600 from early position, Janne Nevalainen called from next door before Paolo Della Penna squeezed out a 1,925 raise. Machlas called pretty quickly and after a deep breath and sigh so did Nevalainen.

All three of them checked down to the river quicker than Speedy Gonzalez, and with the board looking like {j-Clubs} {k-Hearts} {7-Spades} {10-Spades} {10-Hearts} it was Della Penna who finally made a bet and it was for 3,325. Machlas folded instantly but Nevalainen made the crying call.

Della Penna: {q-Diamonds} {q-Spades}
Nevalainen: Mucked

Della Penna ~ 44,000

Subbotin's Queens Are Good

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Andrey Subbotin is busy stacking up a pile of chips after his pocket queens held up over on Table 12.

Ignat Liviu opened the betting with a raise to 450 from under the gun, two players folded and Subbotin three-bet to 1,100. One more player folded and Nicolo Calia cold-called on the button, Eugen Wagner followed suit in the big blind and Liviu put in the extra chips to call.

Flop: {5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Spades} - Wagner lead out with a substantial 4,000 bet, a bet that only Subbotin called.

Turn: {5-Clubs} - Wagner checked and Subbotin checked behind.

River: {7-Clubs} - Wagner quickly bet 5,000 and Subbotin immediately made the call.

Wagner: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Subbotin: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

Subbotin rakes in the pot.

Two Little Ducks For Sarwer?

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Jeff Sarwer just tangled and got the better of Annette Obrestad along with Eugene Wagner to move up to 36,000 chips.

He raised to 425 from early position and was called by Wagner in the next seat before Obrestad raised to 1,600 from the button.

Both players called to see the {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop where they both check-called a 2,200 c-bet from the Norwegian. All three checked the {7-Clubs} turn before Sarwer led for 6,625 on the {q-Clubs} river. His two opponents folded to give him the pot.

The Canadian showed the {2-Hearts} and Obrestad commentated, "I like how you didn't check to see which one was the deuce!"

"Maybe I did," he smile back.

Apicella Turns a Straight

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Vincenzo Apicella has come back from break rejuvenated and has just won a massive pot of more than 33,000 chips!

Joining the hand on a {J-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, with 5,000 already in the pot and three active players in the hand, Casey Kastle checked in the small blind, Vasili Karpenkou bet 3,250 rom under the gun and after 30 seconds Apicella made the call. Kastle folded and it was heads up to the {A-Diamonds} turn.

Karpenkou instantly checked and then quickly called when his opponent bet 5,000. The action was similar on the {2-Spades} river, Karpenkou checked then snap-called when Apicella bet 7,000. He quickly mucked though as Apicella showed {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the nut Broadway straight.
