Toufik Ouirini was the assumed chip leader for a while at the end of play last night until Amir Salhani came from nowhere to claim the top spot. Ouirini has had a great start today though and has moved into top spot with 200,000 chips. We're not sure how he got them but we did witness him raise a large pre flop raise (3,300) to take the blinds and antes.
Fernando Brito, meanwhile, took down a pot to move up to a tenth of Ouirini's stack with 20,000. He raised to 3,000 and was called in two spots before he moved all-in for his last 10,000 on an flop. Both opponent's folded.

An already food-poisoned Todd Terry may feel a little more queasy after this hand, but isn't showing it.
He was one of four players to see an flop that was checked around. The hit the turn and the preflop raiser bet 2,700. Only Terry came along to see the river which the raiser then checked. Terry bey 6,300 and after about 30 seconds mulling it over, his opponent called.
Terry tabled which appeared to be the best hand. His opponent nodded, then turned over the , as if to signify his kicker was weak. However, he followed that up by showing his kicker, the , which was actually two pair.
Having not realized he rivered two pair, Terry's opponent took down the pot. Terry realized the player was unaware of his two pair and took it in stride.

Vanessa Rousso has dropped some chips after Nicolas Lambert showed more aggression to force a fold from the Team PokerStars Pro.
Rousso raised to 2,000 from early position and called when Lambert three-bet to 4,200 from mid position. The flop fell and Rousso went for old check-min-raise maneuver when Lambert c-bet for 5,100. It didn't work on the Frenchman though who put in a three-bet to 24,000. Rousso tanked for a few minutes and folded.

Team PokerStars Pro and EPT Lifetime Cashes Leader Luca Pagano has had about as good a Day 2 start as anyone in the room.
Coming in with less than 50k, he now sits with over 120,000 and counting.
Pagano's latest pot scooped was of the big blind special variety and we caught the action on the flop with the Artem Litvinov in small blind and Pagano in the big both calling a 3,600-chip bet from big stack Matthew Haugen.
The turn saw Litvinov take the lead, making it 11k, but he could only shake Haugen as Pagano called.
Both players checked the river, and when Litvinov showed Pagano dropped on the felt and dragged the pot with two pair.
