With the board reading , Jean Marc Rigaill got his chips into the middle with . He was ahead on the flop, but Andre Corredoira has taken the lead on turn with .
Adding insult to injury, the fell on the river to give Corredoira quads and secure the elimination.
Olivier Rogez just shot up into a dead heat for the chip lead with Samphane Phomveha after a big hand early that left Costa Bataille on life support.
We caught up with the action as both players checked the board on the turn with close to 400k sitting in the middle.
The river was revealed and Rogez led out for 150k, sending Bataille deep into the tank. He spent a good four minutes mulling over the decision before making the call.
Rogez turned over and it must have been good as Bataille mucked.
Following the hand Bataille was left with 60k as Rogez moved up around the 1.5 million chip mark.
Ondrej Vinklarek was the big chip leader for a long time yesterday until he bluffed king-five into pocket kings. He came back today with less than the average, but now he has more than the average after a fortunate double-up.
He opened to 23,000 from under the gun and called when Sergio Castelluccio three-bet to 52,000 from the button. The flop fell and Castelluccio continued for 50,000 and snap called when Vinklarek check-raised all-in for his remaining 170,000.
Vinklarek: for an over card and gutshot draw.
Castelluccio: for an over pair .
The Czech player got instant service as the turn came to make his straight, before the river bricked. Castelluccio wasn't a happy bunny.
Andre Corredoira opened to 25,000 under the gun and was called by Luca Pagano in the cutoff. Kevin Vandersmissen re-popped it to 82,000 on the button, chasing away neither player.
The flop came down and Corredoira fired 125,000. Pagano took a few moments before re-raising all in for 309,000 total. Vandersmissen folded, as did Corredoira after a while, giving the pot to Pagano.
