Tompkins Flops the Nut Flush

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

With about 12,000 in the pot and a board reading {J-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{A-Diamonds}, the player in the small blind bet 7,500 only to have Ireland's Jason Tompkins move all in from the big for 19,000. The small blind thought for a bit before making the call, but became a bit distraught when he discovered his {Q-Spades}{8-Spades} flopped flush was no good against the {A-Spades}{4-Spades} nut flush of Tompkins.

The {3-Clubs} river changed nothing and Tompkins doubled to nearly 50,000.

Two-Pair No Good for Rousso

Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Rousso found what she thought was a dream flop. It wasn't but she managed not to lose too many chips to a neighbour who had out-flopped her.

She was one of four players who took a {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop. The original raiser continued for 400 and Rousso raised this up to 1,100. The other two players folded but her neighbour called to the {7-Spades} turn where he check-called a 1,700 bet.

No more chips ventured into the middle as the {q-Diamonds} river was checked through. Rousso opened {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a flopped two-pair, losing out to her opponent's {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

Aguiar Bets Out Moschitta

We found Team Online's Luca Moschitta engaged in a hand with recent WSOPE bracelet winner Jonathan Aguiar. With over 4,500 in the pot before the flop, the dealer produced a flop of {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Aguiar tapped the table and Moschitta fired 2,325. Aguiar flung out a raise to 9,000 total and Moschitta went into the tank for quite some time.

"Why so much," we heard Moschitta mutter to himself while pondering his action. Eventually Moschitta let go of his cards and the pot was pushed to Aguiar.

Boeree Looking for Another EPT Sanremo Title

On a {10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, an older gentleman checked from the big blind and watched Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree, who won this very event back in Season 6, fired out 1,000. The big blind then woke up with a check-raise to 2,200, Boeree called, and the {4-Spades} appeared on the turn.

The big blind kept the pressure on with a bet of 2,500, and then called when Boeree raised to 5,500. Both players proceeded to check the {5-Spades} turn and Boeree rolled over {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. The big blind mucked and Boeree was pushed the pot.

Veldhuis Doing What He Does

An EPT isn't an EPT unless Lex Veldhuis is playing multi-street big-pot poker in the early levels.

He had made it all the way to the river in a heads-up pot and around 21,000 was piled in the middle. His opponent checked to him and the Team PokerStars Pro took his time before betting 9,000. It did the job as his opponent mucked. Velduis couldn't help letting out a little smile.

Mattsson Jams On Kaiser

Simon Mattsson, Edwin Salca, Ronny Kaiser, Lucille Cailly and Jiachen Gong all saw the {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop for 500 each. Mattsson was first to act, and he checked. Salca then checked before Kaiser tossed out 1,500. Behind Kaiser, Cailly folded, Gong called, then Mattsson was back up.

Mattsson took a minute, then raised to 4,825. After a fold came from Salca, Kaiser studied. After a bit of tanking, Kaiser reraised to an even 10,000. Gong folded, but then Mattsson reraised all in. With just about 23,000 behind and covered by Mattsson, Kaiser folded and opted to battle another time. Mattsson climbed to over 50,000 in chips.

Bussot-Fuentes Takes One from Guillen

Action folded to Team PokerStars Pro Angel Guillen in the hijack seat. He raised to 350, then Frederic Bussot-Fuentes called in the cutoff seat. Fatima Moreira de Melo called on the button, and everyone else folded.

On the paired {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Guillen slid forward a bet of 525. Bussot-Fuentes called, and Moreira de Melo folded.

The turn was the {7-Clubs}, and Guillen checked. Bussot-Fuentes bet 800, and Guillen quickly folded his hand.

Boldini Folds Kings to Speidel

Five players created a pot of 5,500 and saw a flop of {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and four checks put action on Nicola Boldini, who bet 3,000 from the button. The big blind and under-the-gun player both folded, and then Oliver Speidel woke up with a check-raise to 7,500 from early position. A player in between folded and action was back on Boldini. The Italian thought long and hard before folding {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} face up.

Veldhuis Folds Turn

From under the gun, Simone Ruggeri opened with a raise to 350. Team PokerStars Pro Lex Veldhuis called on the button before the player in the small blind reraised to 1,575. Ruggeri and Veldhuis both called before the dealer spread out the {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop.

With three hearts in the middle, the small blind tossed out 2,200. Ruggeri folded, but the hand continued as Veldhuis made the call.

The turn was the {9-Spades}, and the small blind kept his foot on the gas. He fired 5,200, but this time Veldhuis couldn't call. He gave it up, and his opponent showed the {A-Hearts}. Veldhuis dropped to 33,000 in chips.
