Mizzi Mizzi Mizzi Mizzi Can't You See?
On one of the last hands of Level 12, Sorel Mizzi was all in for his last 60,000 on a flop of . There was about 250,000 in the middle, and Anatoly Gurtovoy was in the tank. While Gurtovoy was in the tank, we sprinted over to Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier's table to catch his double up.
When we returned, Mizzi was scooping the entire pot. We asked tablemate Paul Volpe what happened, and according to him, most of the action occurred preflop. Volpe told us that he opened, Mizzi three-bet, Gurtovoy four-bet and Volpe folded. Mizzi put in a five-bet, Gurtovoy made it six-bets, and Mizzi called leaving just 60,000 or so behind.
Mizzi then jammed on the flop, and Gurtovoy tank-called. Mizzi rolled over ace-king for ace-high, which was ahead of Gurtovoy's for queen-high. The turn and river both bricked, and Mizzi doubled through.
