Vogt of Confidence

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Vladimir Geshkenbein
Vladimir Geshkenbein

A huge pot just played out on the last table left in the outer room. Former EPT Snowfest winner Vladimir Geshkenbein and Rasmus Vogt got into a raising war to creat a 97,000 chip pot, all in preflop.

Vogt: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Geshkenbein: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The flop came {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and the Russian was already looking a little nervous, the {K-Clubs} ended the hand and Vogt hit the {K-Diamonds} to add insult to injury.

Geshkenbein has about 33,000 left.

Smith Caught Stealing

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Raahil Bhatia opened to 1,000 in early position, and Dan Smith eyed Bhatia's before calling in the big blind. The dealer fanned {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, both players checked, and Smith led out for 2,500 when the {2-Hearts} turned. Bhatia called.

The {j-Diamonds} completed the board, Smith flicked forward two blue T5,000 chips, and Bhatia tanked for over a minute before calling the 10,000-chip bet.

Smith ripped over {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs} like it was the absolute nuts, and after examining Smith's queen-high, Bhatia finally showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a pair of eights.

Dejan Divkovic opened for a raise in late position, Jesper Hoog three-bet to 2,400 on his direct left, and the action folded back to Divkovic. He four-bet to 4,600, prompting Hoog to go all in for 16,600.

"Ace-king," someone at the table said in regards to Hoog's hand. "Ace-king."

The {7-Clubs} completed the board, Da Silva checked a third time, and Ugh emptied the chamber, firing a third and final bullet worth 6,900.

Da Silva called, leading Ugh to muck his hand, and Da Silva slid his hand into the muck as well.

Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

Imagine you get into a raising war against Viktor Blom. Imagine you have queens. You'd imagine feeling pretty good about yourself, right?

A similar situation just happened to Rens Feenstra who was happy to put his 20,000 or so into the middle with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} against Viktor Blom. But the latter had picked up {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} this time and with a board of {6-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Feenstra was already walking out of the door.

Jorgensen Trends Back Up

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Lauri Pesonen opened to 1,200 in middle position, Theo Jorgensen called in the hijack seat, and Mario Chiang Guanilo defended his big blind. The dealer fanned {7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Guanilo checked, and Pesonen continued for 1,800. Only Jorgensen called.

The turn was the {j-Spades}, Pesonen slowed down, check-calling a bet of 4,500 from Jorgensen, and a repeat jack ({j-Clubs}) completed the board.

Pesonen checked, Jorgensen flipped out 10,000 (leaving a single blue T5,000), and Pesonen tank-folded.
