Jouhkimainen Cripples Katchalov

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

We arrived to find the action coming to a head, but gathered that Joni Jouhkimainen opened with a preflop raise. Eugene Katchalov put out a three-bet from the big blind and Jouhkimainen replied by shipping all in over the top. Katchalov called and the hands were tabled.

Katchalov showed {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} and was racing with Jouhkimainen's {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Jouhkimainen stayed ahead on the {2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop and his nines were still the best hand even after the {8-Spades} hit the turn. The {6-Diamonds} rivered and ensured Jouhkimainen would double up to around 230,000 while Katchalov was crippled to just 25,000.

Muhlocker Drags In Massive Pot, Cripples Lacay, Eliminates Butzhammer

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

We witnessed a massive confrontation where three players players including Thomas Muhlocker, Ludovic Lacay, and Thomas Butzhammer put all of their chips in before the flop. Lacay had the most chips but had the other two just barely covered. He also happened to have the worst hand of the three:

Lacay: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Butzhammer: {K-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Muhlocker: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

The board fell down {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Muhlocker's aces were able to hold up as the best hand. He was all in for 197,100 and was able to drag in a massive pot that brings him up to around 505,000. Butzhammer, the shortest stack of the bunch, was eliminated. Lacay was knocked down to just 8,000.

Lacay managed a double up the next hand when he was all in before the flop. Muhlocker raised over the top to 12,600 only to have Morgenstern four-bet to 27,000. Muhlocker folded and the hands were turned over.

Morgenstern: {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Lacay: {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The board brought {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Lacay was able to secure a double up with a stronger ace high. Despite this fact, he still sits only around 20,000.

Duhamel Doubles Again

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Jonathan Duhamel opened to 8,000 from UTG+1. Action tricked over to Sam Greenwood who three-bet to 21,000 from the button. Duhamel flat called. The flop brought {3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and both players checked to see the board pair with the {9-Hearts} on the turn.

Duhamel checked again and Greenwood fired 27,000. Duhamel clicked it back to 54,000 and Greenwood called. The river was the {Q-Diamonds} and Duhamel shipped all in for about 47,000. Greenwood snapped him off but instantly heaved a sigh and mucked his hand after Duhamel showed {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for trip nines. Greenwood was forced to ship a majority of his stack to the 2010 WSOP Main Event champion and now sits on just about 10,000. Duhamel, on the other hand, is thriving around 260,000.
