Erkan Yildirim
Erkan Yildirim

JP Kelly is up to a million after eliminating Erkan Yildirim. The Brit opened with ace-jack, Ekrem Sanioglu flat called and Yildrim then shoved all-in for 130,000 with ace-ten. Back on Kelly he made the call and Yildrim folded.

There was no help for Yildrim on the flop, turn or river and he departed.

Gheorghe Gradinaru Eliminated in 29th Place (€15,950)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Sotirios Koutoupas
Sotirios Koutoupas

Sotirios Koutoupas just hit a four outer to eliminate Gheorghe Gradinaru from this tournament in 29th place. It was the Greek player who got the action started, raising to 25,000, Grandinaru then moved all-in for 283,000 and Koutoupas called to put him at risk.

Grandinaru: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Koutoupas: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} flop gave Grandinaru three of a kind but as Eugene Katchalov said: "Better than a blank flop," as Koutoupas had a backdoor straight and flush draw. The {7-Clubs} was a blank but the {J-Diamonds} wasn't and the year of Romania will have to wait.

Ekrem Sanioglu Eliminated in 28th (€15,950)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Ekrem Sanioglu
Ekrem Sanioglu

Ekrem Sanioglu started out today as the chip leader has just been eliminated. It was all in preflop for him from the big blind with {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. His opponent was Florian Ribouchon who had raised it up pre flop from the under the gun position and wasn't willing to lay his {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} down.

The board didn't bring any help for Sanioglu at all with {7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. The chip leader is gone, long live the chip leader.

Quads For Goulder

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Alex Goulder
Alex Goulder

Alex Goulder is up to 1,800,000 after rivering quads and getting paid by Konstantin Tolokno.

Goulder (under-the-gun+1) had called Tolonko (under-the-gun) pre-flop, on the flop and turn of a {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} board and there was 318,000 in the pot when the {9-Diamonds} completed the board. This flushing and board pairing river didn't slow Tolokno down, he bet 200,000 only for Goulder to raise to 475,000 total. Back on Tolokno he tanked before calling, Goulder rolled over pocket nines for quads to win the hand. He's up to 1,800,000 whilst Tolokno is down to 312,000.

Sebastien Lapeyre Eliminated in 27th Place (€18,200)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

I think this one is going to stick in the mind of both Sebastien Lapeyre and Oliver Price for quite some time. From under-the-gun Oliver Price raised to 25,000, Alexandre Amiel called and Lapeyre then moved all-in for 220,00 total from the big blind. Back on Price, who had about 410,000 behind, he announced call and Amiel who's playing 1,000,000 elected to fold.

Price: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Lapeyre: {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

Price had Lapeyre dominated but not for long as the flop fell {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Price shot up from the table due to the turn of events. That meant he wasn't around to see the {3-Spades} river and {6-Spades} river. "You win." said another player to Price whilst Lapeyre leaned back in his chair. "No, no, no. Why, no, no,no."

With that elimination we're down to 26 players, there will be a full re-draw at 24 players and Price now has nearly 700,000.

Ho Law Doubles Through Muratov

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Chun Ho Law lost a couple of pots in a row and found himself rather short. It was time for open shoving and he did just so from the cutoff position. Rustem Muratov in the small blind instantly called and Jeffrey Hakim gave up his big blind.

Ho Law tabled {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} while Muratov had {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} to show for. {3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} on the flop and Ho Law was in front. That stayed like that with the {9-Hearts} on the turn and {3-Spades} on the river.
