Ghassanis Battles the Table
Ibrahim Ghassanis from Lebanon is the big stack at the table since doubling up against Watts (since busted) aces versus kings. He is enjoying himself at the table raising every hand to the bemusement of the rest of the table who seem to regard him with a touch of disdain. Ghassanis seems to be playing along with it as he is getting teased by the younger members of the table and he is holding his own. After all, he has the big stack of chips.
Ghassanis raised his usual 1,200 preflop in first position and it fell to Laurent Bachelet to defend this time as he made the call from middle position. Everyone else folded and they saw a flop of . Ghassanis continued for 1,700 and Bachelet made what appeared to be an uncertain call. The turn was the . Ghassanis now bet a slightly smaller 1,250. It took a bit longer but again Bachelet made the call. The on the river and now Ghassanis checked. Bachelet reached for chips and bet 4,500. Ghassanis made a quick call and tabled but it was no good against the of Bachelet. The table were slightly taken aback and a visibly annoyed Ghassanis left the table for a few minutes to recover his composure.
