Gruissem Doubles

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The board was {8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Philipp Gruissem bet 35,000. Anatoly Gurtovoy then moved all in and had Gruissem covered.

Gruissem went deep in the tank. Eventually he made the call. It was Gurtovoy who had to turn his cards over first and he did so reluctantly showing the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

“Shit.” said Gruissem who was not expecting to see that and turned over {a-Spades}{2-Spades}.

The turn {7-Spades} gave him his flush though and a double up. The {q-Hearts} on the river was irrelevant.
