In EPT side event news, a €5,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament began yesterday with 187 players, but now just 16 remain in contention for the €200,900 first-place prize. The current chip leader in that tournament is Georgios Karakousis, who you may recall was runner-up at EPT London in October for £349,200. Also still in the running is Canadian World Series of Poker bracelet winner Max Greenwood with 357,000; Full Tilt Poker Ambassador Dermot Blain with 310,000; and Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree and French singer and actor Patrick Bruel.
