This Is A Rentry Event, Right?

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

We saw the action start with a raise to 475 from Artem Litvinov and Steve O'Dwyer made it 1,650 two seats over. Jason Lavallee called and Litninov asked whether or not this is a reentry event. Once he received the confirmation, he also called to see the {10-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop.

Litvinov checked, O'Dwyer made the continuation bet for 3,200 and both opponents called. On the {9-Spades} turn, Litvinov check-folded and Lavallee reluctantly called the second barrel of O'Dwyer for 9,000. The {J-Diamonds} river completed the board and O'Dwyer checked. Lavallee moved all in pretty much even stacked for 35,150 and O'Dwyer was stunned.

O'Dwyer sat in the tank for about six minutes, staring at the board, sometimes at his opponent. Lavallee only stared at the board, trying to keep up the tension of his stare. Ultimately O'Dwyer mucked his cards and the Canadian let out a huge sigh of relief.

Metaal vs. Kanaan

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

With around 2,000 in the pot and a flop of {3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, Govert Metaal led out for 2,000 from the under-the-gun position and was met by a raise to 5,600 from Michael Kanaan. Metaal made the call, and then both players checked the {6-Clubs} turn.

When the {8-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Metaal checked for a second time and Kanaan bet 7,400. Metaal wasted little time in folding his hand and Kanaan was pushed the pot.

Flush Over Flush

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

Artem Litvinov has been entertaining the table thus far, latest joke being him announcing that he would play the next hand blind if the action gets checked to him. Yann Dion had different plans though and raised from early position. Martin Jacobson three-bet and the Canadian called.

The {Q-Spades}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Spades} board could have escalated by far more if it wasn't paired. Dion bet the river for 3,800 with the {K-Spades}{9-Spades} and Jacobson opted only to call with the {A-Spades}{J-Spades}.

Enter Mickey Petersen

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

The first member of PokerStars Team Online is in the field, and Mickey Petersen has been seated with the only Team PokerStars Pro currently seated, Angel Guillen. Also at their table are Steve O'Dwyer, Jason Lavallee, and Dmitry Yurasov.

Petersen, who plays under the name "mement_mori" online, is best known for his victory in the PokerStars EPT Copenhagen Main Event back in 2012 for $444,595. He also has more than $5 million in online tournament winnings and recently took down the Full Tilt Poker Sunday Brawl for $52,120.

On Wednesday, during the break from EPT Sanremo, PokerNews' Sarah Grant joined Petersen for a live Google Hangout to connect with readers and fans. You can check out the complete Google Hangout by clicking here.

It's also worth noting that both Artem Metalidi and Roman Koranev are on the rail of the High Roller contemplating whether or not to hop into the mix. We hope they do!

One for Guillen

Action folded to Dmitry Yurasov, who finished third in the EPT10 Prague High Roller for €177,500 back in December and then followed that up with a fifth-place finish in the EPT10 Vienna High Roller last month, and he opened for 500 on the button.

Team PokerStars Pro Angel Guillen called from the small blind, Steve O'Dwyer came along from the big, and three players took a flop of {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Two checks put action on Yurasov, and he bet 800. Only Guillen called and then action went check-check on the {9-Spades} turn.

When the {7-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Guillen led out for 1,800 and it proved enough to take down the pot as his Russian foe released his hand.

Despite losing that pot, Yurasov is still up a bit from the starting stack.
