Pollak Gets Frustrated

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Benjamin Pollak opened for 3,400 from the hijack and his neighbor Aslan Daurov from Russian three bet to 10,100 from the cutoff. The button and both blinds folded and Pollak four bet to 20,400. Daurov made the call with just under 35,000 behind.

The flop came {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Spades} and Pollak shoved all in. Daurov made the call instantly.

Pollak sighed, shrugged, puffed, and rolled his eyes upon seeing the showdown:

Benjamin Pollak: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Aslan Daurov: {K-Spades}{5-Spades}

The {Q-Spades} on the turn and {9-Hearts} on the river didn't change a thing and Pollak had to forfeit 34,700 of his chips to his neighbor. Pollak wasn't happy about it and just about shoved them into his neighbor's stack. Daurov started stacking while Pollak frowned some more.

Novikova No More

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Liliya Novikova
Liliya Novikova

After doubling up Raniszewski, Team Online's Liliya Novikova got right back into action. She was first lucky enough to chop with {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} against Daniel Dvoress's {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs} as the board ran out {2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. The next hand though, she wouldn't be so lucky.

She pushed all in under the gun for her last 11,600 and action folded to Haresh Thaker from the United Kingdom. He called from the hijack and all others folded.

Haresh Thaker: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Liliya Novikova: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The board came {3-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and with the rivered flush, Thaker send Novikova packing.

Raniszewski Doubles Through Novikova

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The player in the hijack opened with a raise to 3,200. PokerStars Team Online Pro Liliya Novikova three-bet all in from the cutoff for her last roughly 28,000. Tomasz Raniszewski was on the button and thought for a moment before moving all in for less. The blinds and original raiser folded, leaving the hands to be turned over.

Raniszewski: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Novikova: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}, allowing Raniszewski's pocket aces to hold as the best hand. Novikova was forced to ship 21,000 to her neighbor, leaving her with just about 7,000 in chips.

The Ace of Hearts Keeps Gilmartin Smiling

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Lynn Gilmartin
Lynn Gilmartin

It looked as though Joao Simao had raised under the gun when Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden called from the button for 2,700. Former PokerNews hostess, and current World Poker Tour anchor, Lynn Gilmartin was seated to Lodden's direct left and she moved all in for 36,300.

Simao moved all in as well, and Lodden folded right away.

Gilmartin: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Simao: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and the ace on the river kept Gilmartin in the tournament.

"Now I have to change my strategy," Gilmartin said with a smile, as she now has some real chips to play with. Moments after winning this pot Gilmartin tweeted that she won another pot, and currently she sits on 91,000.
