Touma Doubles Voronin

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

We caught the last part of a hand where Roman Voronin doubled through Amir Touma. The board read {8-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Voronin had all of his 535,000 chips in the middle with {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Touma had {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and was trailing. The {J-Diamonds} on the turn gave Touma additional outs, but the {5-Spades} on the river wasn't one of them. Double up for Voronin!

Walker Doubles, Leaves Karmazinas Short

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Dominykas Karmazinas (hijack) and Chris Walker (small blind) got their chips in the middle before the flop. It was the well familiar classics race again:

Dominykas Karmazinas: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Chris Walker: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The flop hit Walker with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, but Karmazinas hit some additional outs with the {J-Clubs} on the turn. The river {K-Clubs} wasn't the card where Karmazinas was looking for, and "Domcee" was knocked down to the shortest stack in the room after having to forfeit 660,000 of his chips.

Juanda Risks Some for a Chop

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

On a {J-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop it was Pascal LeFrancois who checked from the big blind to John Juanda who bet 100,000, and the Canadian called.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and both players opted to check.

After the river brought the {5-Hearts}, LeFrancois lead out for 290,000, and Juanda went into the tank.

About a minute went by, as Juanda analyzed the hand out loud, before the dropped in the chips for the call.

LeFrancois showed {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Juanda claimed his half of the pot with {A-Spades}{9-Spades}.

Small blind Stuart McDonald cold four bet to 450,000 with 40,000 behind and the big blind and Karmazinas both folded. Sousa moved in and McDonald made the call for 40,000 more.

Stuart McDonald: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

"Nine in the window!" the just busted Jonathan Abdellatif shouted from the rail, cheering for his friend. It wouldn't come a nine, but it would stay safe for McDonald; {5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{J-Clubs}.

Relative Brutality for McDonald

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Stuart McDonald just ended up putting all but 80,000 of his chips at risk before the flop, and he was up against Pascal LeFrancois. Before the dealer could even put the flop out, McDonald threw his last chips into the middle and LeFrancois called.

The flop showed {K-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} when the following cards were turned face up.

McDonald: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
LeFrancois: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

McDonald stood up right away and said, "I'm not superstitious, whatever happens happens."

"What do you want?" McDonald asked LeFrancois.

"A king would be good," LeFrancois said, calling for a split pot.

The turn brought the {2-Spades}, and McDonald said, "That's kind of what I wanted to call for."

"Let's do a three now," McDonald continued, hoping to double his stack.

The river brought the {A-Spades} and that gave both players two pair with a king kicker.

"That's relatively brutal," McDonald sighed, as he missed out on a double up.

"I hadn't even thought of the ace," LeFrancois said with a smile, as the pot was being chopped up.

McDonald however, lives to fight another all in as he's still among the short stacks in the room.
