Mercier Doubles Through Buddiga

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Mercier has just managed to double his stack at the expense of Pratyush Buddiga. Buddiga raised from the cutoff seat, and Mercier shoved from his direct left for 69,000. The action folded back to Buddiga, and he called right away.

Buddiga: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Mercier: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, and Mercier doubled up.

Seidel Out; Egan Off to Strong Start

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Erik Seidel was down to his final 130,000 when he moved all in from the cutoff seat. To his immediate left, on the button, was Michael Egan. He went into the tank for quite a while before he made the call. Both blinds folded, and Seidel was at risk with the {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Egan had the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, and Seidel wished his former opponents "good luck" before exiting the tournament area.

Seidel Doubles Up Andreev

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Erik Seidel, who won the European Poker Tour €100,000 Super High Roller during the Season 11 Grand Final for €2,015,000, just doubled up Andrey Andreev. The two of them got their chips to the middle preflop, and it was the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for Andreev against the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} for Seidel.

Andreev, who started the hand with 246,000, won the showdown after the board ran out {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

Max Silver opened for 15,000 in middle position, and Carlos Mironiuk made the call from the hijack seat. Jason Mo was on the button and moved all in for 134,000. Both blinds folded, Silver added the chips to make the call, and Mironiuk folded.

Silver showed the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, and Mo tabled the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} to send Mo to the rail.

Kabrhel Busts, Again

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Martin Kabrhel just busted out for a second time in this event after reentering this morning. This time, though, he will not get the chance to reenter as registration is closed.

Alex Trevallion told us Kabrhel had raised under the gun and called a three-bet from Sylvain Loosli, seated two players to his left. The flop brought out {K-}{J-}{X-}, and Kabrhel check-raised all in holding {K-}{Q-}. Unfortunately, he ran into Loosli's aces.

Kabrhel started the hand with about 170,000, but all of those chips were sent over to the Frenchman.

Kurganov Eliminates Lefrancois

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Igor Kurganov opened to 14,000 from early position, and [Removed:17] made the call right next to him. Action folded to Pascal Lefrancois in the big blind, and he squeezed to 48,000. Kurganov, with Yan behind him, shoved all in. Yan folded, but Lefrancois made the call for all of his chips after checking his cards one final time.

Kurganov tabled the {2-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and was up against Lefrancois' {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. The flop came {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} to keep Kurganov in front. The {8-Diamonds} turn card gave the Canadian some additional outs, but the {3-Clubs} failed to improve his hand.

After cashing in the Estrellas Poker Tour Main Event yesterday, former World Series of Poker Main Event fifth-place finisher Jeremy Ausmus fired off a buy-in to the €50,000 Super High Roller. He made Day 2 of the event, but his run has come to an end.

Ausmus was all in with pocket kings against an opponent's two jacks. The kings didn't hold up for Ausmus, and he was eliminated from action.
