Zvi Stern Gets it Done Against Shyam Srinivasan

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

A player in middle position opened to 900 and got three callers: Shyam Srinivasan, Zvi Stern and Gaelle Baumann.

The flop was {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and the four players checked. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and again the four players all check in turn.

The river was the {10-Hearts} completing both straight and flush draws. It checked to Srinivasan who bet 2,500. Stern then raised to 12,000. Both Baumann and the initial raiser folded leaving just Srinivasan. He eventually folded. "Good hand," he said, tapping the table.

Felipe Ramos Traps The Nuts

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a board that read {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Felipe Ramos had three-way action with Paul Dando and David Sonelin. Ramos was first to act and checked, as did Dando. Sonelin, who has six EPT Main Event cashes on his resumé, bet 2,600, which both Ramos and Dando called.

On the {J-Hearts} river, Ramos checked, Dando checked, and Sonelin fired 11,100. Ramos thought about a minute before flicking in a call. Now it was Dando's turn to think, and the Brit spent about thirty seconds before he relinquished his holding.

A good choice, as Ramos quickly tabled {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for the nut flush. Sonelin quietly mucked his cards face down.
