Holozlu and Chouity Get Into It

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Alisan Holozlu
Alisan Holozlu

We joined a big pot on the river as Nicolas Chouity bet 142,000 into a pot of roughly double that. The board read {3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Chouity's bet was putting Alisan Holozlu under a lot of pressure.

Eventually, Holozlu, having looked like he was certain to fold, made the call.

Chouity turned over his bluff, {K-Clubs}{5-Spades} and nodded, saying "Good call."

Holozlu turned over {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for the winning hand.

"You never give up." said Chouity to his opponent.

"I give up when I feel I'm not winning. Was I ahead or not?" replies Holozlu. It's friendly but Chouity is clearly a little frustrated at his opponent calling him. The two men essentially swap positions in the leaderboard.

Three-Way Clash Sends Andreas Freund to the Rail

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Simon Lofberg raised to 40,000 and short stack Andreas Freund shoved for 140,000 from one seat over in the cutoff. Vasileios Chalkidis moved all in from the button and Konstantin Puchkov called all in from the small blind. Lofberg folded and the cards were tabled.

Freund: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Puchkov: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Chalkidis: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The flop of {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Clubs} improved Puchkov to a set, while Freund had a straight draw. Nothing changed with the {2-Diamonds} turn, and the {4-Spades} river was a blank as well. Freund was eliminated and Puchkov doubled through Chalkidis for 391,000.

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Joining the action on the {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, Jason Mercier checked in the big blind and Mikhail Shalamov bet 40,000 on the button, Mercier called. After the {Q-Hearts} turn, Mercier check-called another bet worth 81,000 and then checked the {5-Diamonds} river.

Shalamov bet 170,000 and Mercier called after some consideration, mucked once Shalamov showed him {A-Spades}{K-Spades}.

Kevin Andriamahefa Busts on Feature Table

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

In a previous hand on the feature table, Kevin Andriamahefa had an unfortunate split pot with {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} versus {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and soon after got his short stack in with a pocket pair, only to see Norbert Berent look him up from one seat over.

Andriamahefa: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Berent: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and both players made a straight, though the one from Berent was better.

Lucian Draghici Eliminated By Andreas Chalkiadakis

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Lucian Draghici raised under the gun with {A-Spades}{8-Spades} and Andreas Chalkiadakis defended his big blind. Both players checked the {9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop. Chalkiadakis checked the {3-Spades} turn, Draghici bet 55,000, Chalkiadakis check-raised all in, and Draghici called.

Chalkiadakis had {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for a pair of nines, meaning Draghici needed a spade, deuce or ace to survive. The {6-Hearts} on the river was neither of those, sending Draghici to the rail.

Eugene Katchalov
Eugene Katchalov

Markus Durnegger made it 35,000 from the button. Eugene Katchalov shoved for around 350,000 with {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} from the small blind and Durnegger called it off with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

The board of {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} saw Katchalov out of his seat out of his seat on the flop and shaking hands by the river. Durnegger continues to build an impressive stack.

Rumen Nanev Eliminated by Vojtech Ruzicka

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Rumen Nanev raised to 35,000 from the hijack and Vojtech Ruzicka three-bet to 88,000 from the cutoff. Nanev then moved all in and Ruzicka quickly called.

Nanev was at risk with the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, but Ruzicka had that crushed with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}. The board came {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts} and the stacks were counted. Ruzicka had just over 550,000 and Nanev less in order to join the rail.

Andrea Cortellazzi busts Adrian Attenborough and Xixiang Luo

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The action started with a raise by Andrea Cortellazzi in the hijack and Adrian Attenborough jammed from one seat over in the cutoff. On the button, Xixiang Luo also moved all in and Cortellazzi snapped off both shorter stacks.

Attenborough: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Luo: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Cortellazzi: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}

Luo got all excited when he spotted the {K-Spades} as first card on the flop, but it was followed by the {A-Spades} right away to give Cortellazzi the higher set. The rest of the board ran out {2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and that knocked out both Attenborough and Luo.
