In 90 minutes from now at 12.30 p.m. local time, Day 2 of the 2016 PokerStars EPT12 Dublin €25,750 High Roller Event gets underway at the Royal Dublin Society. So far, the tournament has attracted a total of 56 players and 10 of them took advantage of the single reentry to create a field of 66 entries. Throughout the first eight levels, this number was whittled down to 41 hopefuls, but the field size may still increase with registration open until 15 minutes prior to the start of Day 2.

Leading the field is Anton Bertilsson with staggering 1,375,000 in chips and the Swede is no stranger on the European Poker Tour, having finished second to Stephen Graner in the EPT11 Prague Main Event. Furthermore, Bertilsson was one of five players that won their entry through a €3,000 Satellite the previous day. Nick Petrangelo (888,000) and Kim Wittendorff (852,000) complete the overnight podium whereas many other well known names of the international poker circuit also made it through to Day 2.

Other big stacks include Dario Sammartino (733,000), Timothy Adams (729,000), Triple Crown Winner Davidi Kitai (696,000) and Mike Watson (673,000) to just name a few. The only remaining Team PokerStars Pro is Jason Mercier (555,000) whereas Andre Akkari busted late on Day 1. Steve O'Dwyer won't be returning to the tables today either after busting on both bullets yesterday.

Action resumes with level nine at blinds 3,000-6,000 and a running ante of 1,000, giving new additions to the field more than 40 big blinds to play with. A maximum of 10 levels of 60 minutes each will be played or until the final table of the last eight is reached, whichever of the two comes first. The PokerNews live reporting team will be on hand to cover the action, so make sure to tune back in regularly.
