From Russia With Love for PokerStars Qualifier Viacheslav Belyaev and Friends

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Russian PokerStars qualifier Viacheslav Belyaev recently chipped up a little bit when he called from the big blind a mid-position raise from Stoyan Obreshkov to 18,000. Belyaev checked on the {3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop before raising to 42,000 after his opponent bet 18,000. Balyaev led out for a bet of 50,000 when the {6-} hit the turn and Obreshkov folded.

Obreshkov after the hand still had more than 1 million chips, while Belyaev chipped up to 675,000.

Belyaev might be one of the lesser known players left in the field with seven career cashes according to The Hendon Mob for $7,413. All of his career cashes took place in the Czech Republic and regardless of how he finishes in the EPT 13 Prague Main Event, he will be at least doubling his total. Belyaev is friendly with and sharing a place in Prague with Aleksandr Nemtcov, who is also in the final 100.

Even more remarkably, there is a third player from Russia staying with the duo in an apartment in Prague also in the final 100 in Sergei Petrushevskii, who has just one recorded cash according to The Hendon Mob for $167. Petrushevskii is currently doing the best of the three with a stack of 830,000.
