Astedt Eliminated by Maue

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Niklas Astedt was all in and at risk once again with the {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} and was looking to stay alive against the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} of Leonard Maue.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds} with the river giving Maue a superfluousfull house and Astedt was eliminated as the rest of the remaining players combine to make the final table of nine.

Board Benevolent to Hissou

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Sirzat Hissou was all in preflop and in a world of hurt with the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} up against the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of Teun Mulder.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. The turn was the {8-Diamonds} to open up chop possibilities which would come in as the river came the {5-Diamonds} to put a straight on the board as the players chopped it up and Hissou could smile as he survived just barely.

Astedt Doubles Up Through Pardo

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Niklas Astedt jammed all in from the button over an early position raise from Chris Brewer. Juan Pardo re-jammed and Brewer got out of the way,

It was a flip as Astedt had the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} against the {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} of Pardo.

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs} to secure the double for Astedt.

Double Knockout Vaults Pardo Into the Lead

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Andras Nemeth
Andras Nemeth

Rodrigo Seiji raised to 20,000 from under the gun and Chris Brewer called on the button. Andras Nemeth then jammed on the button and the action was on Juan Pardo in the big blind. However, Seiji sigh-called out of turn already while Pardo was still to act. The Spaniard asked for a count on Nemeth's shove, which happened to be for 303,500 in total.

If Pardo just called, Seiji's all-in was binding whereas he would have been given the option to fold if Pardo had raised despite the call being the biggest effective stack size anyways. Pardo then called and Seiji's 170,000 went into the middle as well.

Rodrigo Seiji: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Andras Nemeth: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Juan Pardo: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop changed nothing yet but Pardo gained the lead on the {a-Spades} turn. Last but not least, the {q-Clubs} followed on the river and that ensured a double knockout for Pardo.

Two Small Pots for Schemion

Level 14 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Ole Schemion raised to 20,000 from under the gun and Teun Mulder in the big blind eyeballed his stack carefully before coming along. Mulder's check on the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop brought the 12,000 bet by Schemion and that won the pot right there.

One hand later, Leonard Maue raised to 20,000 and folded to Schemion's jam.

Maue Chips Up Further

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On the tail end of a heads-up pot between Leonard Maue and Ole Schemion, the completed board showed {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Maue was in the small blind and made it 20,000 to go, which sent Schemion in a brief tank. The call by the German followed and Maue revealed the {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for jacks and tens to win the pot.
