Talbot Overbets Turn From the Small Blind

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Parker Talbot limped the small blind with {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. In the big blind, Antoine Saout checked his option with {k-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

The flop came down {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Talbot checked, and Saout checked behind.

The turn brought the {4-Diamonds}, giving Talbot a flush draw. He led for 375,000, just over the size of the pot. Saout thought for a bit with third pair, but let it go against the big bet, so Talbot took it down.

Petar Kalev Eliminated in 7th Place (€164,750)

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Petar Kalev
Petar Kalev

Petar Kalev jammed for the last 840,000 and Luigi D'Alterio just called in the hijack. Istvan Pilhofer in the small blind asked for the stack size of D'Alterio with the {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} in the small blind and let go.

Petar Kalev: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Luigi D'Alterio: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

"I had ace-jack," Pilhofer mentioned and somebody else joked "you should have said that after".

The {8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} flop failed to connect with either player and so did the {q-Clubs} turn. Only D'Alterio improved with the {j-Clubs} river as Kalev went from big stack to seventh place finisher within one hour of play. He takes home €164,750 for the efforts and the field is down to the final six players.

Jun Obara made it 240,000 to go from the hijack with the {10-Spades}{8-Spades}.
