Demlakian Goes Big On River Against Mokri

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Kayhan Mokri opened to 18,000 from middle position and only Ken Demlakian made the call in the big blind.

The flop came A85 and Demlakian check-called a bet of 16,000 from Mokri. On the 2 turn both players checked their options to the A river.

Demlakian took a few seconds before sliding out a pile of blue 5,000 chips totaling 110,000 and Mokri went deep in the tank.

"That's very greedy of you," joked Mokri as he pondered his decision.

"Sorry guys I don't usually take this long. I feel like you just have to have it but how can I fold?" said Mokri just before he tossed in a chip for the call.

Demlakian tabled AK for trip aces and Mokri shook his head as he tossed his cards into the muck.

"Yeah that's what I thought you had, your kicker," said Mokri to Demlakian as he added more to his massive tower of chips.
