Danchev Makes Running Two Pair; Kobayashi Shows an Ace

In a limped pot between the blinds, Dimitar Danchev and Niklas Astedt checked to the turn on a board of K♠Q♣5♥4♠. Astedt then bet 3,000 and Danchev called.

The river was the 10♦ and Danchev checked. Astedt also checked back and Danchev showed 10♠4♦ for two pair to win the pot.

The next hand, Tsugunari Toma raised to 2,500 and Astedt called in the small blind, as did big blind Hirokazu Kobayashi.

"Sandwiched between Japan," Astedt said as the flop came Q♠9♣A♦. Toma continued for 4,000 and only Kobayashi called.

Both players checked down the 3♦ turn and 5♦ river and Kobayashi turned over A♥6♣ for a pair of aces to win the pot.

Dimov Gets Value From Toma

Ognyan Dimov raised to 2,500 on the button and Tsugunari Toma called in the big blind.

Both players checked the 5♠8♣6♥ flop. The turn was the J♣ and Dimov bet 2,000.

Toma called and the 10♥ fell on the river. Dimov then bet 3,500 and Toma called. Dimov showed Q♣J♦ for a pair of jacks and Toma mucked.

Tsugunari Toma raised to 2,500 under the gun before Hirokazu Kobayashi three-bet to 8,000 on the button. Toma then moved all in and Kobayashi folded.

The next hand, Niklas Astedt raised to 2,500 in the hijack, Kobayashi three-bet to 8,000 in the cutoff, and Ognyan Dimov four-bet to 20,000 on the button.

Astedt then moved all in, Kobayashi quickly folded, and Dimov flashed a pair of jacks before also folding.

Kobayashi Leaves Mokri on Fumes

Hirokazu Kobayashi raised to 2,500 in the hijack and Kayhan Mokri called on the button, as did big blind Dimitar Danchev.

The flop came K♠K♦6♠ and action checked to Mokri who bet 3,000. Only Kobayashi called and the turn was the K♥.

Mokri bet another 5,000 and Kobayashi raised to 10,000. Mokri called to see the J♠ river, where Kobayashi bet 25,000.

Mokri used a time bank as he considered the decision. "Ace-ace," he asked Kobayashi before flicking a chip over to him.

Kobayashi then showed 10♣10♠ and Mokri mucked, leaving himself with just 3,000.

Kobayashi Takes the Rest From Mokri

Kayhan Mokri was all in for his last 3,000 from the cutoff and up against big blind Niklas Astedt and Hirokazu Kobayashi under the gun.

Kobayashi bet 4,000 on the 7♠K♥J♥ flop and Astedt folded.

Kobayashi was ahead with a pair of kings as the 2♠ turn gave Mokri more outs with a flush draw. "Oh oh," Mokri said, but he missed the 5♣ river and was sent to the rail.

Mokri Picks Off a Big Bluff

Kayhan Mokri reentered soon after busting his first bullet.

"Pocket tens, huh," he said to Hirokazu Kobayashi as he retook his seat.

"Well, what did you have," Niklas Astedt asked him.

"A good calling hand. Pocket nines," Mokri replied.

Mokri then raised to 3,500 in the cutoff and Tsugunari Toma called on the button. Both players checked the K♣4♣3♥ flop.

The turn was the 8♠ and Mokri bet 7,500. Toma called and the 10♠ fell on the river. Mokri then bet another 22,500.

Toma came back with a raise to 50,000. "Here, Santa Claus," Mokri said as he flung his chips into the middle. Toma showed J♣9♠ and Mokri turned over K♠9♥ to win the pot.

Kobayashi Shows Toma Aces

Kayhan Mokri raised to 3,500 in the hijack before Tsugunari Toma three-bet to 10,000 in the cutoff. Hirokazu Kobayashi four-bet to 25,000 in the big blind and only Toma called.

The 3♠5♥K♥ flop was checked through and the 3♣ fell on the turn. Kobayashi then bet 19,000 and Toma called.

The river was the 8♠ and Kobayashi bet 55,000. Toma folded this time and Kobayashi showed A♦A♠ as he took the pot.

Toma hit two pair on the 9♠J♦9♣ flop to stay in the lead, while the 7♥ fell on the turn. The river, though, was the K♥ and Astedt improved to a better two pair to send Toma to the rail.

Mokri Fires Away at Kobayashi

Hirokazu Kobayashi raised to 3,000 under the gun, Kayhan Mokri three-bet to 9,500 on the button, and Kobayashi called.

The flop came 10♦J♠2♠ and Mokri bet 7,000. Kobayashi called and the 7♠ fell on the turn.

Mokri then bet 24,000 and Kobayashi again called. The river was the K♥ and Mokri bet 67,000 this time. Kobayashi used a time bank before tapping the felt and mucking.

"Nice hand," he said to Mokri.

"Good river," Mokri replied.

Ole Schemion registered for the tournament and took his seat right before this hand. "They don't respect your raises here," Mokri told him.

"I play only the nuts," Schemion replied.
