Day 1b Started
One year ago, the France Poker Series (FPS) Paris €2,200 High Roller drew a field of 910 entries as part of the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) stop in the city of love and French capital. It is already certain that this figure will be obliterated as the ongoing first starting day has attracted a field of nearly 1,200 entries.
The second and final flight of the 2024 FPS Paris €2,200 High Roller is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. local time and another bumper field is expected. All players who came up short in the earlier starting day will be tempted to take another shot at the seven-figure prize pool.
Defending champion is local player Mohamed Mokrani, who was among the participants in the record-setting 2024 FPS Paris €1,100 Main Event already. One year ago at the Hyatt Paris Etoile, Mokrani defeated Antony Marchetti in heads-up to claim the top prize of €305,300. It was a stacked final table that also included Wagner Ripper, Jon Kyte, Francesco Delfoco and Hugo Machado.
Place | Player | Country | Prize (EUR) |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Mohamed Mokrani | France | €305,300 |
2 | Antony Marchetti | France | €190,450 |
3 | Wagner Ripper | Brazil | €136,050 |
4 | Simeon Spasov | Bulgaria | €104,650 |
5 | Jon Kyte | Norway | €80,500 |
6 | Cedric Massaro | France | €61,900 |
7 | Francesco Delfoco | Italy | €47,650 |
8 | Luis Celso | Brazil | €36,650 |
9 | Hugo Machado | Portugal | €28,200 |
Day 1b mirrors the earlier flight in all but one major detail, as the level duration is reduced from 40 to 20 minutes. Each participant starts the journey with 30,000 in chips and the action will carry on until the top 15 percent of the field have been reached.
If a player has already participated in the previous flight, they can only enter once into Day 1b during the first ten levels. All other hopefuls who take their first shot are permitted a single re-entry during the registration period if they should run out of chips.
All survivors of the two starting days will have locked up a portion of the prize pool and continue their path on Day 2, Monday, February 19, at noon local time with 40-minute levels. This will be the final day of the tournament and a champion is set to be crowned.

On a three-handed table with as many players involved in the hand, the flop showed 9♣5♥2♣. Cristian David and Rayan Chamas checked and Aliaksandr Yarosh bet 1,100. David called and Chamas opted to fold. That led them to the 3♣ turn on which David check-raised from 1,500 to 4,500 in order to win the pot.

Action folded around to the blinds, where Refael Dahan called from the small blind and Ilia Pavlov raised to 1,000 from the big blind. Dahan called.
Dahan proceeded to check-call a 1,000 bet from Pavlov on the K♥8♦2♦ flop and a 3,200 barrel from Pavlov on the 2♠ turn. However, Dahan let his hand go facing a hefty 11,000 bet from Pavlov after the 9♠ completed the board and Pavlov added to his stack.
