A few hands later, Dodd raised his AK to 240,000 from the cutoff, receiving a call from David Kaufmann in the big blind, who played 87. The flop came out 79A and both players checked.

Kaufmann then check-called Dodd's 250,000 bet on the 4 turn before the 10 river was knuckled down again. Dodd's Big Slick won at showdown and he chipped up further.

Owen Dodd

David Kaufmann raised to 200,000 in early position before Peter Jorgne three-bet to 600,000 in middle position. Owen Dodd was in the small blind and used two time banks before moving all in for 1,005,000. Kaufmann folded, but Jorgne called to put Dodd at risk.

Owen Dodd: 99
Peter Jorgne: 77

Dodd had Jorgne dominated with his nines as the flop came K56. The 8 turn gave Jorgne additional outs with a straight draw, but he missed the 2 river and Dodd doubled up at the start of the final table.
