Palovic Gets His Man

Dag Palovic: chip leader
Dag Palovic: chip leader
Blind-on-blind again with Gormley, the Slovakian raised to 26,000.

Gormley made a large re-raise and Palovic announced "Okay, lets gamble again, All-in."

Gormley quickly called.

{A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for Palovic.
{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for Gormley

Palovic hit not one but two Aces on on the flop and no miracle two-outer came for the Irishman.

Palovic now has close to one million of the 5.6 million in play.

Paul Gormley Doubles Up

Paul Gormley

It was folded to Palovic in the small blind who raised to 24,000.

Gormley in the big blind made it 60,000 more which represented half his stack.

Palovic asked for a count of the Irishman's remaining stack, then moved all in.

Gormley thought for several minutes before being put on clock and called with only one second before his hand would have been declared dead.

{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for Palovic
{A-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for Gormley.

The board came {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}.

Gormley, who has been nursing a short stack for most of the day, now has over 300,000 chips.

Golser Takes Down A Monster

Markus Golser

Play reaches the turn in a pot between Markus Golser and Adrian Koy. There is already 180,000 in the middle. The board reads {5-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and Golser checks first to speak. Adrian Koy takes a minute or so before betting 50,000 which is called quickly by Golser. The river is the {A-Spades} and Golser bets out 80,000. Before he has the chips in the middle Adrian Koy moves all in for 390,000.

Markus had 260,000 left after the 80,000 bet and went into the tank for a good five minutes. In the end he made the call and showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} which was good for a 960,000 pot as Koy had only {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}.

After the hand Golser has 960,000 and is the new chip leader. Koy is left with 50,000.
